1786 has just passed through Wednesfield High St on an 89 making an unhealthy loud screeching noise

Liberator9

Rather have a loud screeching 1786 any day compared to an Enviro 200 - just glad there's none of those things at AG and YW!

Same here! Wouldn't want an Enviro 200 on the 3 and 2.

Loud squeeling from Volvos is normally just stiff fan belts which goes off once the initial acceleration has happened and is nothing to worry about

Liberator9

Thanks Tony - always wondered what caused 627 to screech when it was at AG!
The Enviro 200s can stay away from YW - more than happy with the Scanias and Liberators!

I know that Tony but it appeared to be a constant noise. That's why i mentioned it as sounding unhealthy

1783 - 4h not sure if it's noteworthy, but wow these are nice buses, first time I've been on one of these, very impressed interior a bit grubby, but almost as good as a scania

Are Walsall having short Enviro 200's as well as long ones?

(Thought short ones would've been better round the Alumwell personally! )

No, no more short E200's on order this year

B10's on the 7 and 311/313 for anyone thinking they've all vanished

Is 1896 still out in service as it was the 709 311 this morning & it was having problems?

Any ideas why I saw 244 come down Lakefield Rd then continue down Lichfield Rd towards Bloxwich displaying '302-Walsall Via Bloxwich'?

If it was around 0830ish this morning, then it would be operating board 336/01 (it has been mentioned on another topic that 244 is on the 335/6 today).

This operates the 700 school service to Grace Academy Darlaston before running dead to Lower Farm to operate a single 302 journey into Walsall (0854 ex Lower Farm). This then goes onto the 336 upon arrival into Walsall before turning into the 335 in the evening peak.

Presumably from Grace Academy it continued along past Thomas More, onto the Moseley Road/Nechells Road through Wednesfield to join the Lichfield Road all the way to Lower Farm.

Yes that is 244's regular running board and still doing it most days at the moment. The three E200s so far in service seem to be settling onto the two 70A running boards and 335-01
