It will be interesting to see if they do manage to keep the route 1 & 2 buses where they should be, as it is quite a serious business! The Leicester Sapphires have never reportedly strayed, and only the designated pool of 4 'spare' vehicles ever deputise - there have been very isolated instances of Lowlanders being on there and an ex London 'DLA' once but they are very good at doing it properly. The same goes for ANW at Wrexham, although The Shires in Aylesbury have rather naughtily been seen using their Sapphire E400s on other routes.

This is Arriva cannock ....they have route branded buses on the wrong routes daily. Take yesterday for example.  Two of the w reg volvos 3617/9 on the 74/5 , which are or were allegedly premium interurban routes.. this would be quite understandable if two of the four dedicated stafford routes buses were off road but they were on other services.  This happens daily almost.  I cant find any excuse that would make it acceptable.  Some people say that off route branded buses are good as theyre advertising the services.  They're not good. They look crap

I do understand why Wednesfield use the branded Enviros on the evening and Sunday routes though, saves having a decent bus parked up in the depot, although maybe it would be easier to not have them branded for the 9 at all!

Makes a change from a 9 on the 8a in Bloxwich!

What's the regular allocation on the 70 & 335?

First Mpd they can lay their hands on?

The reason why there is often a 9 branded vehicle on the 8A is because the vehicle that operates the 15 mins past from Bradford Place goes onto late night duties rotating between 41, 8A and 335.

Must admit I saw an unbranded Enviro working the 70 tonight as I was in Walsall, returning from the Manor,  visiting the sister in law!
