something interesting I noticed yesterday morning, the one journey on the X51 in the morning that runs city - Scott arms only at 07:50, according to the running board it then goes to the garage for a while then onto the 41. Thought the whole reason for it terminating at Scott arms was so it could do a short journey into the city in the rush hour. Or is it just a summer timetable thing?

Just a summer thing. Normally, it runs dead from Scott Arms to Gillity Village to operate a 705 school service before returning to garage. The term-time 41 board also begins with that bus operating another of the 705 school services in the morning, before running dead to Walsall and continuing on the 40/41 until the end of the day. To reduce PVR during the summer, the two buses have been merged onto one board.

I would have thought it be more likely to be swapped with one recently withdrawn from PE i.e. 502, 510 or 544?

There is possibly another accident on the X51 this evening.

An articulated lorry and 4125 are at the scene on Birmingham Road close to the junction of Wellington Road (near 'The Bell').
Traffic being diverted down Wellington Road, so could not see if there was any damage.

So Enviro400 on the 40/41 are not unusual.
At least until normal timetables are back.

Well WA need their B6's for the 335/6 so unless 502/10 or 544 came out of retirement then 547 needsto be back on the road as soon as possible

Stuharris 6360

Would have thought it would have been cheaper to put one of the ex PE B6s back into service than repair 547.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Stu,
That's exactly what I thought as 502, 510 & 544 have only very recently been withdrawn, the only thing that I can think of is that whatever 547 hit was at fault & their insurers will only pay for either writing off 547 or repairing it
