As a bit of a surprise, 4601 will come out of paint next week in Walsall heritage livery. The same livery as Metrobus 2888 was painted, but with the yellow stripes slightly different to match the lines of an ALX400

Sounds good.   Any plans for buses in the other municipal liveries?

Does anyone know what caused the delays around Worcester yesterday, 5/5?

There is an advert doing the rounds at the moment that shows, very briefly, what looks like a West Brom double decker. Might be 174, might be cgi or might be something completley different. Any thoughts?

Seems like 6861 has broken down right by Five Ways island outbound, somebody looking at the engine.

Still there at 4pm, with towing wagon in attendance. Delays of at least 20 mins on Harborne routes.

For anyone interested there is a new book on Walsall trolleybuses. By Bob Rowe, published by Trolleybooks at £32.

If this is the right place to point this out, there is a far from seamless join between Thandi and NXWM  operations on the 37. Weekdays there is a gap of 75 minutes  and 95 minutes on a Saturday in departures from Walsall. Not sure whose responsibility this is.

I seem to remember a fatal accident in Brum when an elderly lady attempted to board a bus via the centre doors, fell and was run over, and after this no more two door deckers were ordered. Does anyone else recall this inncident?

All of the WMPTE Jumbos were delivered new as dual door, although they were ordered by Birmingham, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich.

There was a batch of Nationals delivered dual doored KOM7**P batch and the L reg Commer Mini buses for the Centrebus were dual doored, however they had doors on the near side and offside!

There was also a batch of 15 dual door NCME bodied Fleetlines ordered by Walsall, that made the final trolleybus conversion possible.
Were the dual door Nationals not meant for use around the then new NEC?

Has there ever been announcements on the WN 1? I caught one earlier and there weren't any, although the screen was working showing the next stop. I can't remember if there was any in the past since I've barely ever caught it.
