Are all the Scanias going to move? Or are the rest staying at Coventry?
1867 was on Allesley Old Road operating service 23 on Sunday.

I read 4453 was done as the original 4453 was a Coventry bus and the EVC in the number plate would have been a Coventry plate under the old registration system.
Anyhows, back to Pensnett. I used to think of it as a bit of a freak of a garage as it started life as a minibus operation, had no double deckers, and a lot if its vehicles weren't even full size. But it's becoming pretty normal now isn't it?

BCT's last number used was 3880 and WMPTE carried on using the series upto 7054 in 1980.
When Coventry, West Bromwich, Walsall & Wolverhampton buses were acquired their numbers had a letter suffix added.
Midland Red aquisitions kept their original numbers.

Paulb,
4 ex WN Excels are now stored at PE i.e. 684, 687, 708 & 711
Along with 1346, 1414, 1471, 1472, 1503, 1504, 1644, 1663 & 1664 that you have already mentioned.
I can only assume, if not at Miller St or Pensnett they will more than likely be stored at Lea Hall as the Car Park is no longer used
Re the buses you have down as stored at Lea Hall, have you seen these yourself? As I haven't seen any reports of the contents of LH for a while, probably since it was last emptied when a sale was previously agreedQuote from: paulb1973 on June 24, 2013, 02:37:02 PM
Going by Tony's notes for MS - is the withdrawn/stored fleet to be found at these locations? (?? = unknown, but presumably these are at LH or PE or within an active garage)..
277 etc
Thanks for the further updates. Nah I've haven't seen the contents of Lea Hall - its more based on a process of elimination using updates on here generally for Pensnett & more recently re. MS from Tony! A few of those marked LH or '??' might have been sold but I go by Tony's monthly updates regards sales/withdrawals and transfers. It would be nice to get something a bit more official, but I suppose visits to Lea Hall are few & far between.
Yes, only the select few can probably see the contents of LH. I would have thought it's fairly safe to assume that most of the B6LE, B10L & Mercs location unknown are in LH. NXWM don't seem to be in any great hurry to dispose of B10L's for scrap, possibly because of their higher book value due to refurb etc

Saw 1501 re-numbered to 9501 in Coventry last week.

re-numbered series ???

Oh right!
Erm, sorry about that then.
For general quickness and accessibility, Stagecoach's 48 is the best to travel from Coventry to Nuneaton.
The service is every 10 minutes and the journey takes 45 minutes.
The confusing thing is that the 48 will most likely be displaying 'Atherstone' or 'Leicester'.
If you see a bus with 'Nuneaton' on the front (a 55 or 56) then it will get you there, but using a much more convoluted (though more interesting) route.
The 20 is run by National Express Coventry and goes near to Bedworth train station, but not quite to it.
The timetable is here:
It runs every 10 minutes during the day.
Don't catch the 20a or 20e though, as you won't end up in Bedworth! :D
Your best bet is to get off at Bedworth town centre (the bus stop is next to a huge Iceland) and follow http://goo.gl/maps/0u7Cy
This isn't the quickest way to get there, but it's probably for the best than advising you to get off at an obscure stop and giving an even more obscure route to the station!
All of the above can be caught in Trinity Street Coventry.

I had the missing 15 as further Volvo B7RLE (a theoretical 2178-92 - well up to 2193 but that was before the purchase of 2153, which I assume is counted in this 130 total). Another 45 Enviro400 will take fleet numbers up to 4939 presumably - and the 5000 mark will be broken with any further double-deck orders. Obviously the hybrids are already in the 5xxx series.
Hi Paul,
Is this missing 15 further Volvo B7RLE more of an assumption or an actual confirmed order?
Treat that as an assumption and not confirmed. I keep abreast of NX developments on here, the WMBus Yahoo group & various sources on the internet etc - and keep a small MS Word file on the whole fleet. I had it as 40 Volvo B7RLE arriving - but I'm not sure where I got that info from! So don't take that as given. I suppose NX could get 15 vehicles of a completely different design, assuming they are on order at-all. But logic suggests further Volvo B7RLE/Enviro400 - I don't think any more Enviro200's or Hybrids are due.
Thanks Paul,
I guess the other 15 could be another batch of B7RLE or possibly even Enviro 200's as there are still 40 x B6LE in service + Dundee still have quite a few elderly Solo's left in service. Not sure why NX are so cagey these days about announcing order breakdowns, I can understand them not wanting to announce to the competition what routes they are intending to upgrade etc for commercial reasons.
I'm still thinking NX may bring forward some/all of the 2014 order to be able to buy more Euro 5 buses, rather than having to buy more expensive Euro 6 models. I believe NX's current standard single & double deck models will both be changing, I think I read ADL were giving the E400 a facelift and the B7RLE will become the B8RLE

They could use 3xxx onwards but then again WB have got Darts numbered 3xxx
