There's a few amended (or apparently "temporary") timetables from 21st November, some are now on TravelineSW website

Service 1 moves to xx:32 past every hour, what is the current the service 2 departure time, so I have a feeling service 2 (the timetable is not uploaded yet) will drop to hourly - which at least will fix the imbalanced service in Earlsdon.

Service 19 is re-routed via Kenilworth Road so will no longer stop on Leamington Rd and Kenpas Highway - Unsurprisingly ;).

Services 3, 8/9, 12X, 13, 16, 21 and 85 are the rest of the amended timetables with a minor route change mooted on service 8 presumably in the Potters Green/Walsgrave area.

School service 59 (Eastern Green-West Coventry Academy) will no longer operate.

Will service 19 still do a loop around the back of the Rail Station - it'll still be possible except it will have to route back towards Kenilworth Rd (instead of going down Leamington Rd).

I haven't visited the Travel Shop in Pool Meadow for a while - I believe it's closed now. But is it possible to obtain paper timetables anywhere? I know with smart phones etc that's old hat now, but still nice to have a paper copy.

Yes Paul.

Ah ok. Normally pictures appear (on Facebook etc) of them being towed away - but I hadn't seen any for these two!

No, it was sold for preservation.

BN's team have got it running ready for collection.

Yes! Just seen your pic on Facebook - that's another saved for the future.

4221 started first time today and rolled its, wheels for the first time since 2019 today!!

I had 4221 as sold for preservation - assume that fell through.

1753, 1773 WA-withdrawn

Has 1763 (and possibly 4332) gone too?

Along with 1754, 1766 WA-Withdrawn.

Can I confirm that is 1766 (and not 1765) withdrawn - Tony has listed 10 ex-WA withdrawals so far on Facebook, and mentions 1765 instead. Suppose it could be both!

I've lost track of 4317 and 4322 - do they remain in service at WA / WN respectively?

No, the 85/85B will not serve Brade Drive loop beyond the hospital but the area will still have the 20C service.

Looking on the Traveline website (I assume still a credible source of information) it doesn't seem to show the 85 loop around New Century Park - Brindle Ave, Gwendolyn Drive, Weir Way, Second Ave and Allard Way. That is still occurring I presume, not that there seems to be much passenger activity on those roads.

Bus stops flags have appeared on the Leamington Road by War Memorial Park.
They have 9, 9A, 19, 24, 25, 25A.
New bus stop flags have appeared adjacent to Canley Station with 1, 2 and 10 on!
The 10 lives on!

I assume 2 was chosen (over and above 10) as it goes nicely with the number 1 !

Indeed NXC have since added Leamington Rd & Kenpas Hwy on their webpage, I'm still surprised by the choice of route and whilst it may be evaluation and to some extent competitive against part of the Stagecoach 60 service it is now leading me to think it may be precursor for an eventual dropping of the 9A service and divert of the 19 via Mantilla Drive.

Whilst on the subject of Leamington Rd the 9/9A seems to be reducing from 8 bus to 7 bus so more chances of an electric bus operating on other services.

The new 1, 85/85B, and 24/25 appears to all interwork at Pool Meadow generally in that order utilizing in the main 7 buses - a haven for E200s no doubt.

Humphrey Burton's Rd etc goes from a regular 9/9A service to a, err, not so regular number 19.

I assume the 85/85B will mirror exactly the current 1 from the city centre to UHCW/Walsgrave area (via New Century Park) and so includes that loop around Brade Drive, Boswell Drive and so on.

Send them to TfWM so they can be put in the timetables!

Yes, I preferred it when they showed the full, exact routing. Now its a bit of guesswork, although you can work most of it out on various websites.

Silly question coming up; but the 19 will have to use Leamington Road (instead of Kenilworth Rd) if it's going to traverse Humphrey Burtons Road etc ? Or will it do a brief double-back, using Kenilworth Rd instead!

Route 1 towards Coundon:
Pool Meadow Bus Station, Hales Street, Trinity Street, Ironmonger Row, The Burges, Corporation Street, Queen Victoria Road, Croft Road, The Butts, Albany Road, Earlsdon Street, Radcliffe Road, Rochester Road, Beechwood Avenue, Canley Road, Canley Rail Station, Dolomite Avenue, Broad Lane, Grayswood Avenue, Kingsbury Road, Forfield Road, Courtland Avenue, Westhill Road.

Link to the changes on the NXC website:

Pretty-much as expected - it seems the 7 extension to the Amazon site is coming to an end.

The 85 and 85b is amended to takeover/cover the 1 route between Gosford St and University Hospital. (85s and 585s will continue to serve Walsgrave Rd and Ansty Rd).
During Mon-Sat daytimes every other bus will turn short at Jubilee Crescent, during the evenings and Sundays all journeys only operate as far as Burnaby Rd/Holbrook Lane - and these also seem set to be parked up here for over half a hour (unless there is some sneaky interworking I haven't yet figured out).  Nothing is scheduled to turnaround at Norman Place Rd anymore - that turnaround what's having or had some costly work done to it! ::)   I hope you don't mind me saying it all smells like a right botch up.

So the 5 (along with parallel for a bit 5A to Coundon, but not at Norman Place Rd!) will end at Radford (Jubilee Cres) and further along at Burnaby Rd (is that to be called 'Radford' as well?). Are the longer 5 journeys towards the Arena Shopping Park via Everdon Rd to be maintained also. Seems rather complex for what was a fairly simple set-up originally.

Coundon will appear as the terminal point on three different services then (1, 5A, 7A) who'd have thought it! Suddenly the areas seems blessed with bus services. The 7A shorter journeys to boost services in that particular district, I assume.

The 1 goes via Corporation Street rather than via the station as well leaving Pool Meadow at xx.17
1 terminates at "The Cedars" in Coundon. It also runs non stop through Whoberley from Broad Lane to bottom of Grayswood Avenue because there are no stops in Glendower Avenue, plenty of parked cars!
The 2 goes same way as 10 at xx.02 and xx.32 from Pool Meadow.
Routes take more than hour to do round trip so 2 and 19 could interwork.
Handy way of converting Earlsdon to E200.

I assume then the 1 will traverse Albany Rd, Earlsdon St etc to Canley Station then head for Broad Lane, before dropping down Glendower Avenue (as you say, could be tight along there) and into Grayswood Avenue. Thereafter; Kingsbury Rd, Forefield Rd, Courtland Ave up to the Cedars roundabout. So no more 1 around Belvedere Road, Earlsdon Ave South/North and so-on. With the 5/5A running into Coundon - whats the point of this extension?

Couldn't the 2 just remain with the service number 10 - it now means all the bus stops along the current route 10 need changing City to Tile Hill (in fact on the other side of the city as well).
