I scratched off the 20 extension the Saturday before last early afternoon. Were about 17 on by time we got to Nuneaton, the 5 or 6 who boarded after Bedworth all paid cash.

Honestly... The 54 isn't a heavy loss. All Sections of the route are covered by other services inc:

Wolves-I54 Route 4
Wolves-Coven Routes 877/878
Wolves-Penkridge Route 878 or Train
Penkridge-Stafford Routes 75, 878 or Train
Coven-Penkridge Route 878

The point is it doesn't need replacing.

So by your logic, nobody wants to travel from Wolverhampton to Stafford direct by bus?

What about on Saturdays when Select only run Wolves to Brewood?

The menders I bet are having a field day at the moment with the sudden spoke in RTC's in Wolverhampton. It's bad enough seeing all the bodges without hearing of drivers taking out bus station furniture, drivers going the wrong way up dual carridgeways, cranes taking out the sides of vehicles and all the arse enders and side swipes.

Should stop dragging all sorts of scruffs off the streets to get bums in cabs. Doesnt do much for passenger safety.

Buses being trashed, bulk of west broms 4900s interior still in good shape IMO and for the Dudley rd platinums I haven't seen a single ripped seat or USB points vandalised yet, vehicle cleaning could be better I do wonder why the single decks get better cleaning treatment, any way I digress yes maybe it's dawning people if we trash it we lose it.

It sounds like I'm just moaning for fun when I say that about Wolverhampton buses but I best not take it off topic again.

It doesn't sound good when their newest bus is now a 59 plate Pulsar 3743.

Apparently 4351 has now dropped too.

6897 was on the 18 yesterday.

They don't seem to of been debranded completely but all the ones I've seen have part of the branding removed

I54 doesn't take up as much room as Spring Hill so the new vinyls don't go all the way back so there's about a foot of blank space.

I know I have already asked this but no one has answered but what 3/4 branded buses have been debranded. I would like to know this because I am doing a fleet list.

I also asked. To answer both our question. 2012 is one definitely debranded. I suspect at least 2013/14 and maybe 2015 are the ones.

Are there regular routes / running boards on which the E400s operate?

The last X20 from Coventry to Solihull is a regular 400MMC. Sometime between half 6 and 7 I think from Pool Meadow.

Surprised it made it to Newport let alone Stafford!

Don't knock it til you try it. Not bad for a Solo and the sole remaining ex Midland/Choice vehicle in the fleet.
