And you wanted diamond to continue with it! It's passenger have fallen, should bring back the 247/8 like the good old days!

If there's not enough passengers to support an hourly 142 service over part the route, there's no chance of the of the 247/8 ever coming back

Reducing the frequency was going to make things worse. Not only that but the main residents that use the service are from fatherless barn where the 13 coincidentally runs at exactly the same time. The 142 did work in my opinion on a 30 min frequency. It lasted long enough( 5 years!!)??

Yeah could it be put up for tender???
The 142 is currently out to tender by TFWM based on the current hourly frequency

You're probably right, there's only really the 4H through Hasbury now, very limited choice of destinations without changing.

NXWM should register an X9 to Hagley via Hasbury and Halesowen, even hourly in the day 30 mins at peaks could work.

Stuharris 6360

The problem is, the 142 is difficult to cover via existing routes.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Heading a little off topic - but an X9 Birmingham - Stourbridge via Halesowen, Hasbury, Hagley & entering Stourbridge via Oldswinford i.e. utilizing the faster sections of the A456 may be an option

Interesting
Fairly sure it's a tendered route so presumably will still exist with someone else
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Good idea to go that way to Stourbridge. There could also be an X8 that went to Merry Hill the same route as X9 to Hagley then via Lye etc to Merry Hill.

Then you have the issue of nbuses being accepted as it is crossing boundaries or does that not matter?

Doesn't matter as long as the people with the pass do not get on in Hagley. The rest of the route would be ok for that pass.

Odd though as tender change dates tend to be October or April, the date they've cancelled from is around the date that 56 days' notice to cancel (ie before around 26th October) would be submitted!

It'd no doubt be done as a 52 week emergency tender
