I do think you should apply for a job at Central. They look after their staff really well and also the passengers are very friendly.

I wouldn't call stupidly long duties looking after their staff

They only have "stupidly long duties" due to the number of drivers.

All NX duties are around the 7 hour to 8 hour mark.

Driving hours maybe, try spreadover. And even without that, you are wrong.

How am I wrong?

NX drivers are not paid for their break and are paid 7hr36 per duty providing it is around that mark. Some duties are over that, some are under but it all evens its self out over a week.

You are wrong because there are duties that contain more than 8 hours. And as you say, they are unpaid for breaks. This means that over a week you can easily be 'at work' for up to 15 hours for which you're not getting paid. Other operators may have long duties, but you are getting paid all but an hour per shift.

Your assertion that these operators are not 'looking after their staff' and that NX are some beacon of employee satisfaction is simply a myth, go and speak to a few of the drivers sitting about in Solihull all day for nothing.
