4 cancellations & 1 new registration have appeared on VOSA this afternoon, not sure the extent of the changes or whether there are more new registrations to come,

Are there any further Coventry Network changes due 9th June?

Must be in preparation for the Coventry outer circle, which must be the 360A/C.

All Of those routes are covered by the new circular.

JPC

703/704 is a smaller circular route between University Hospital and Arena Park,
The new 360 in theory can only go either one way or the other between those two points.
There is scope for other services like 30 and 778 to come in to play and cover bits of the withdrawn routes.

Well I am disappointed about new service number, but understand where they are coming from, 360 degrees in a circle,  I was hoping for a lower, easier on the brain and eyes service number.

Just found another new registration for De Courcey, (Vosa was unavailable earlier this evening)....

    Registration Accepted
Starting Point: COVENTRY ARENA RETAIL PARK
    Finish Point: COVENTRY, UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
    Service Number: 703
    Service Type: Normal Stopping
    Effective Date: 09-JUN-2013

I expect it will be like former 703 route (via Walsgrave Triangle, Potters Green, Bell Green and Victoria Farm in Both Directions)  although I have a feeling it will be slightly shortened making it around 25 minutes long.

So in theory the 360 is going to run via Belgrave Road, Sewall Highway and Proffitt Avenue ?

I wonder about short journeys: my guess is it will be every hour on the full circle in each direction, made up to every half hour between Tile Hill and Warwick Uni on the major arc (i.e. via Arena Park, University Hospital and Willenhall).

I've just had a go and this could be done with this very approximate timing pattern:

Warwick University0630------
Tile Hill06450715
Allesley Park07000730
Arena Park07300800
University Hospital08000830
Warwick University09000930

Warwick University06300700
University Hospital07300800
Arena Park08000830
Allesley Park08300900
Tile Hill08450915
Warwick University0900------

Also, for any short journeys, would the number 360 be appropriate? :P

Kevin

I don't know, would have thought they'd do it every half hour all the way round
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

The Warwick University - Allesley Park via Tile Hill section probably remains hourly as that reflects the current service frequencies.

And for evenings and Sundays (hourly) buses will have to terminate at some point on the route then run in the other direction, unless there's going to be a bit of short cutting on the route during evenings and Sundays to fit the full circle in 2 hours.
It doesn't look like it's going to be easy and simple for your average punter.

Perhaps number them '90' or '180'

The part covered by the 701,703 and 704 at the moment only has a service between 10am and 5pm on Sundays while the Arena shops are open. One would hope that it doesn't serve Jaguar works at Whitley when it's closed like the 801 does now.
Recent experience points to standardised services rather than common sense.

One of the reasons the 801 was extended to Eastern Green was so that Tile Hill residents regained a direct service to the University Hospital following complaints after the 34 was withdrawn. They just take twice as long to get there!

NXC's new 27 service (which seems to be part replacing their 3A service) might be a solution for Jaguar Whitley...
A Mon-Sat daytime period of operation and bus going to/from the City Centre would be better I think.

The new service will be called 360, and will combine the current De Courcey routes. It will take 2.5 hours per trip and currently will not serve allesley park terminus.
