Amazing! Sort of back from the dead.  Any idea what their future holds?

Really good to see 3070/3091 basically still in there last service condition unrestored , looks like they,ve been in these sheds for a while with that amount of dust on them. If they are not rotten I hope some one will give them a good home. I know it's only been 5 years since metro buses left service feels a lot longer to me. From this batch I recall 3088,89,90 there were others at hockley garage, the 3 I,ve mentioned were decent drives but in large the 3000 batch were the worst of metrobuses, I can recall my disappointment of my first drives of the f and g plated examples so many issues they suffered from, gearboxes just awful on these for what ever reason.

1560 Mercedes 0405N parked next to the fuel tanks with a red sticker/ reserve , I thought it was rather amusing, I would have thought scrap. Also a merc parked next to all that diesel funny as well, we all know how these thing like to self combust, surely it's a health and safety violation.

They all need scrapping now theyve had their day! Funny how its taking so long for scanias to arrive at west brom yet other garages getting them have had quite a lot. And 1950 has disappeared from garage even though it was shown on this site as transferred to west brom. 1951 and 1952 for some reason still havent entered service which leaves only 1953 in service usually on the 49. 1653 is worse to drive than 1560 was!!!

1950 is at Keltruck, I believe it may be getting a replacement engine

No im on about merc 1653 is worse to drive than some of the ones leaving the fleet ;)

1560 has left its resting place next to the diesel tanks to be replaced by the health bus still looking in mint condition.

They are so much better than the MMCs! Count yourself lucky! Driving wise that is, just don't look at the condition of the exterior!

If they did it was never when I was near it or any of the others. Those big Scania engines hardly seem to need to be pushed at all. Perhaps it was the stress of the exhaust gas recirculation - all that hot exhaust being sent back into the cylinders. I believe the Euro 4 MAN engines had particular problems with that.
