1907 is now out just not tracking I rode it on saturday last week
Quote from: cris 99 on October 03, 2023, 08:12:02 PMWhat's the likelihood of 1907/7023 retuning to service again. Apologies if it's in the wrong thread

It is still in pieces in Perry Barr garage and it's MoT expired in August, so you certainly didn't ride on it

I think I need to use their services 🤣🤣 - thought I saw 4802 the other day but according to Bus Times and the naughty list (buses not tracking thread), it hasn't operated since February so I couldn't have - I'm wondering if this also is in pieces in PB, along with 1907? Also would be interesting to know what's going on with 4763 and 4770 - both under repair, one good bus out of two, or both long term VOR. These early E400s are actually getting quite old, even though Euro 6.

Current 'special passenger validation' permit held.

4770 is parked up at Miller Street, been told it's getting a new engine.

Also 4763 is. Not re-entered service since repaint months ago.

Many of the 476# at WB from CV ex Walsall there engines lack power hopeless on gradients, while the ex YW 47## no where near as bad for some reason, are they higher mileage or etc

back in the day AG had Leyland National 1829 (6829) an absolute Rocket Ship she left AG in return for 1813 (6813) & 1475 (4475) neither where ever any good, although to be fair 1475 (4475) stayed at AG for many many years, same with National 2, AG had 1023 & 1026 (7023 & 7026), 23 was left for YW for a while, when she came back, she was so unreliable, 26 had a seized engine, left for YW, when she came back she had no power and remained that way, strange goings on........
i did notice when i moved up here DY & OY vehicles were much better i will never understand why things vary so much, these days the 61xx at AG are rubbish now, i remember them being new, i was travelling to Stourbridge on the 9 they were impressive then

1829 (6829) was a Dual Purpose Leyland National & therefore was most likely uprated:

yes she was, so was 1830 (6830) which was down rated due to reliability issues, she retained DP livery, they were for the 999 which must have lost money as it was Solihull Station to NEC via M42 Limited Stop, they had 1819 (6819) aswell for a short time, but she left for LH, there was a 1 hour drop back on the 999 meant to be in the civic hall car park, then come back into service as 153....

What seemed to be the problem with it, apart from its age of course.
