18 years old isn't young at all. That particular batch seem more tired than the others, presumably long lives on the 11 and other busy AG services have worn them out. Especially in comparison to the ex PB ones at AG, they are much more tidier.

from my personal experience as a VOLVO bus fan boy, currently B7TL,S at westbrom are either very nice to drive or just aweful no middle ground. The ex coventry gems 4600s on the whole still very decent drive except for 4692 i think the transmission slop is dreadful. i assume the gems are'nt ideal candiates for EV conversion due to age.

I think the youngest are 16/17 years old. They probably have not much life left. There's a lot of new buses due over the next couple of years.
