Does anyone know which of these trams is going be named on the 19th November.

They are scared in case a someone gets floored by a tram. 

I thought the changes to the 29 were to amend to follow current 29A between Weoley Castle and Northfield, and possible withdrawal of the Northfield to Frankley section. That's what's been previously suggested on here anyway. Are they changing the city centre route too?

Drive of 29 told passengers this morning at 7:27 on the bus before departing colmore row.

any news on tram 17.  delivered two years ago and not even made out in public service.

I've heard from a reliable source that the line will open to the Bull Street stop on 6 December.  However, it will not stop at the new Snow Hill stop as it won't be ready in time.  Only a small number of drivers will be route trained over the extension so trams will change drivers at St Paul's.  The date for the full extension to New Street station has still to be decided as it has been decided that driver training over the full route is not advisable while the German Market is operating.

Why on earth is the official advice telling people to use trains between Snow Hill and JQ/Hawthorns? When there is a bus replacement? It's fine during off peak but there is already no capacity on these trains in peaks for the existing passengers. People are trying to board rammed trains at Snow Hill in the peak because they have been told to, despite there being a usually empty Gemini parked outside. LM are getting all the grief off both the Metro passengers and their own existing passengers for congestion and over loading which is absolutely nothing to do with them!

i walk from town to st pauls to catch tram and it takes 6-8 minutes to walk the short distance.

15 minutes looks ok 4744 only had about 10 passengers on it

I get of at Great Charles St/Livery St and walk takes about 8 mins to walk to st pauls.

what will the new route be for the 22/23/24

is routes 9, 22, 23, 24, 29 changing routes due to new road layout

Are these wire related to metro or the christmas lights the BCC put up this time of year

As I understand it there will be a Tram Platform?  on the new bridge  that goes over Great Charles Street, this will mean that the tram will stop at the platform the traveling public can then walk up the grass verge and get into town that way, the other way will be by mean of a bridge that will be built of the former tram track, and they can the use the platform the exit the station that way, how long this bridge will be in position I do not know if it will be a temp bridge or not ?

Ha ha! @Stuharris 6360 Knowing how long they've taken to do the extension so far I wouldn't be too surprised if it isn't open by then as well, mind you I suppose a lot of testing needs to be done on the line before it opens really so it could carry on longer than planned.

i think they will run a ghost service once they have connected from st pauls - new line,  Run empty from st pauls - new st and back to st pauls then normal line of route

Snow Hill is not being served for 6 weeks now, not 3 from 25th October.

Replacement bus service is planned apparently; not sure if this means hop on the 16, 46 or 74/75 or whether it is a separate service

The 6 weeks include testing and the commissioning stage,  so w/c 7th December could be the first trams back on the streets of birmingham.
