Quote from: cardew on March 20, 2024, 07:32:14 AMhttps://www.expressandstar.com/news/local-hubs/walsall/2024/03/18/walsalls-bus-depot-sold-to-pave-way-for-future-franchise-bus-system-and-hydrogen-powered-buses/I'm glad I don't live in Walsall. They'll have no bus service at all. 🙊
I haven't seen this mentioned on here so for those who want to avoid pop-ups, videos and answering a survey for the privilege of reading the article, here is a summary
Hydrogen buses will be introduced with a hydrogen generation system sourcing water from the nearby canal.
Quote from: markcf83 on March 20, 2024, 01:36:57 PMIf,at the time electric buses are allocated to Wolverhampton what they could do is have some branding bespoke for the City but not necessarily for any routes.Whilst route branding works, I can't see any benefit from having generic Wolverhampton only branding.
Quote from: winston on March 17, 2024, 09:53:24 PMThey haven't stopped buying new buses, just stopped buying new diesel busesThey haven't bought anything for a while have they? Everything new seems to be leased.
Quote from: Wba_lad on February 28, 2024, 06:48:10 PMI didn't know where to ask these questions but I thought here would be suitable. If it's not I do apologise. I've seen some photos of electrics at ADL I think it is. They are in two tone grey and have vaults fitted. Is this something ADL provide or do Nx have to send them the vaults. And do ADL paint them for companies? I'm hoping somone can help presumably @Tony will. They're painted at ADL and the vaults are supplied by NX. They get refurbished after each use. Some of these will go back decades.
Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on February 26, 2024, 10:28:17 AMThat's also a dangerous peice of driving, He can't reverse in the middle of Traffic, and NX Drivers need Banksman not members of the Public to reverse. Banksman have nessceary training the public don'tI have helped a bus reverse before on the request of a driver after taking a wrong turn. If it's the only way, it's the only way.
Quote from: JosephR on February 04, 2024, 11:35:17 PMShould not the all over one shade grey buses have their bus times livery rectified.I don't think anyone will notice or care to be blunt.
The Zenobe spares livery' is correct.
Quote from: Wba_lad on January 29, 2024, 10:01:11 PMMy post was not obnoxious, I was just saying lots of people knew it was no big secret,You didn't tell anyone because you were told to keep it to yourself. So you didn't.
You could have updated us all a while ago.
I understand about trust ect, I didn't post because I was told to keep to myself but I have seen a few posts going around I didn't know you was told by senior management,
By far was my post obnoxious.
Quote from: Steve3229vp on January 15, 2024, 09:00:03 PMI don't have a problem with the grey livery, it's a good base for adding vinyls of any colour. It amazes me that you hear complaints about the 'It's Grey, so it must be awful' brigade but hardly any complaints (in comparison) about any of the liveries that had white as a base colour which let's face went grubby in no time at all.The colour isn't the problem. The original platinum livery with its colour branded variants along with the first electrics and hydrogens are very smart.
Quote from: CL on January 15, 2024, 03:14:45 PMI've been reliably informed that E188 has had its vinyls applied today. Moreover, it also carries 'first responder' stickers (much like in London & Manchester) above the doors; I presume this'll be the standard on all EVs from here on.Oh, so that's what the symbols are for! I'd seen them in London for a while, I'd just assumed it was for garage staff to easily identify which kind of bus/fuel type.
