Seen 2 red mmcs on the 9 yesterday and saw 4756 on x10 today which for a Sunday seems rare

In all honesty, a driver's view of not being fit for service can sometimes be much different to a qualified engineer's.  I've heard drivers turn down buses for some of the silliest reasons, only for a qualified engineer to check over the bus and sign it off as fit for service.

Disagree here with you Pat. Drivers know the buses better than the engineers as they're the ones driving them day in day out. As a former driver myself, you know when a bus feels different or doesn't feel right compared another. What silly reasons have you heard for a driver stranding a bus?

Wednesbury Great Western Street is closer to Wednesbury Bus Station than either St Georges or the railway station.

Sandwell Council has made Smethwick High Street one-way only. So service 80 will be withdrawn and all journeys will be on service 80A.

How does TGB expect to do well on this, and the 228/242, with barely any publicity?  I can't find anything on their website or twitter page, with links to a proper timetable.  How many potential customers are there who probably don't have a clue about the service?  Without publicity, you have no passengers.  Without passengers, you don't make money.
I'm curious to know why TGB have all of a sudden jumped back onto commercial services again?  And why this route?  Why the centring around Kinver?

I'm keen to know how said services are running, since there has been no registration or anything for them, to my knowledge atleast.
