What services will see the new electric buses be going on first as I make it 62 deckers for service - 40 new buses I know the deckers are been replaced i was asking as only 40 new electric buses coming out leaving 12 diesel busesso what will they end up on

It's not 'only 40' coming out, it's just the first 40.

I'm guessing they've realised that operationally PQ12A was a stupid idea when there's a queue of 94&95s all trying to unload/load and change drivers

Because after Covid the driver opened the doors automatically from the cab. After the engineering works it seems to have gone back to previous, and it was catching passengers out

I think I'd rather see the destination than how to open a door!

I've noticed over the past couple of weeks more and more trams are displaying 'to exit the tram press the illuminated button' instead of a destination display. Some carry in on the front only, some carry front and rear.
Is there a reason for displaying this instead of a destination?

Is there a reason why WA's Platnium's and the early Plattys that arrived in 2015 didn't have USB Charging fitted, and why the next batch onwards had Voith Gearboxes and USB Charging. Is it possible to fit WA's Platnium's with USB Charging the only Platty's WA have with Charging is the Hydrogens as the Platty's are used on the 51 is it possible to fit them with Charging to match. I know the 529, 8 and X8 Platty's have had there's vandalised but other than maybe Perry Barr on the 51 and 93x series and 997 serve I can't think of anywhere they could get trashed. Maybe Bloxwhich on the X51. But the X51 was initially seen as the luxury service Wifi, Extra Leg Room, Leather Seats but then the USB Charging came along on the next batch of Platty's and that felt better you could do work on the bus and charge your device. I know the X51 is popular with Uni, School and college students and Workers from Walsall as the morning Darlaston Services are rammed and almost 2/3rds of that bus go to get the X51 plus passengers from different buses. Most of the people get off by Aston Uni or around Moor Street. The WA batch now don't seem that special. I realise now Wifi has been removed so there might be no point fitting it. But was there a reason that this batch didn't have USB from New

USB ports can get damaged and vandalized on any service in any area so there's no need to call out specific places.
Platinum was a good concept when new, but after the 2015/16 intake it became the new standard spec for new deliveries and as we can see with current refurbs nothing is being retrofitted. But when Walsall have some more fleet renewal I'm sure you'll see USB features on those routes.

Looks like a 97 has taken a wrong turning in the city centre. There's one currently looking a bit stranded on Dale End. It can't go forwards as it's too tall for the bridge and it can't turn right onto Albert Street as it's closed. Maybe a bit of awkward reversing needed to get it back onto the junction with Lower Bull Street.

Imagine being so upset and/or lazy to change front, side AND rear number blinds. Absolute shock horror.

You saw 5 buses in shoreditch yesterday? That really is insane!

On a bad day I see 5 in one minute at my regular bus stop.

D being on the blinds ended up quite useful after 1973, Birmingham buses lined to Sheepcote Street regularly had to show 16D when on the 160 to Kingshurst

I didn't actually realise track 3 was letters only!

D was used: 54D Garrison Lane/Cattell Road

56D was also used. Can't quite remember where to though. Saltley Gate? Washwood Heath Garage?

Quite a few bus stop changes in Birmingham city centre from 7th April. Mainly affecting Priory Queensway and Moor Street Queensway services and stops.

They've had it on the fleetnames for the past few years!

I didn't say they hadn't. My comment still stands.

There's no peeling or bubbles and the vinyl is applied like vinyl usually is. There's no fault of the people doing the vinyl. But look at the absolute state of it.

I haven't seen this mentioned on here so for those who want to avoid pop-ups, videos and answering a survey for the privilege of reading the article, here is a summary

Hydrogen buses will be introduced with a hydrogen generation system sourcing water from the nearby canal. 

I'm glad I don't live in Walsall. They'll have no bus service at all. 🙊
