Title: Midland Rider
Post by: the trainbasher on May 16, 2021, 12:16:44 AM
Going through one of my external hard drives, I found a large number of photos I thought I had lost when Fotopic met its end. Some of them had really poor quality as they were taken during the first year or so of me taking bus photos (plus having had a camera which had issues. A few of these were of Midland Rider's fleet

I have put a full Midland Rider fleetlist on the main site with links to any photos I have so far found in my collection

Fleet list is up to March 2010 when they were taken over by Liyell / Midland

I have it as not running until the take over and gaining 9451. Do you know if it ever carried 1028?

1020 is another mystery

1028 had seen service with Midland Rider - I've photographed it on the 194 and on a Wythall day 758 car park shuttle as well as at the old Aston Manor

Why does it say "Midland CLASSIC" on the link instead of "Midland RIDER"?

Wasn't Midland Rider the pre-cursor to what became Midland Classic after the merger with Liyell/Midland?

I'm sure the RM operated as Rider and then Classic as a start.

Mistake, I think. Now corrected.

Different company. Midland were eventually acquired by Arriva. Don't think they had anything to do with Midland Classic.
