Spotted 4609 in w'ton bus station in his school uniform waiting for 59
How did they get a uniform for a bus??? thought buses were 'Hers' not 'Hims'  ;D ;D ;D

For some reason I usually refer to buses as "him". For example 4813 (which I call PFU) I always think of as 'him' in my head

What does PFU stand for dare i ask Matt?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Nothing, it's the three letters from the registration plate ;)

Thats ok then, had worked something out in my head what it could mean, then i thought surely he can't be calling his fav bus that!  ;D ;D ;D

Actually though, I have given a lot of the E400s names based on their registrations...

4801 = Paddy (PDY)
4802 = Padz (PDZ)
4807 = Pffffff.. (PFF)
4815 = Puffy (PFY)
4817 = The Peg (PGE)
4820 = The Pog (PGO)
4821 = The Pug (PGU)
4823 = Piggy (PGY)
4824 = Pigs (PGZ)
4826 = Phffffff (PHF)
4827 = Fudge (PHJ)
4828 = **** (PHK)
4829 = Fun (PHN)

Any others I just pronounce them how their three letters sound, or just call them by their three letters ;D

Ashley 4569

Some ex Midland drivers still drive in service in t shirts and tracksuit bottoms, and the guy who supervises stourbridge bus station most evenings, trainers and headphones, having to shout to get the guys attention

Matt ill bet you cant give proper names to all 75 WN tridents if you havent played that game already :D

Just to confirm (Don't think you're getting my drift)
'Spotted 4609' A bus (not the 4609 Nath who posts on here)
'In w'ton bus station in 'his'' (how do we know the bus 4609 is a him or her)
school uniform (how they get a bus into a school uniform?)

That is what I meant....nevermind forget that one  ;D ;D

Its all very good and fun naming buses but I have a much simpler easier method...look at the fleet number and..Oh! yes that one must be 4006 because it is numbered 4006

P.S....
4603 - the one with the dodgy gear changes been like it for ages - easy to remember that one sometimes I get on a bus, don't bother looking at the fleet number or reg but the minute it gets up to 30 I think 'Yep thats 4603' I still check the number on the way off though  ;D
Oh No... what will I do when its repaired??? DDL.....Got It! Deal or no deal
Cheers Matt  :)
Enviro 200 Rebels......Venturing Out Into New Territory's!!

Been there done that Ashley ;) named lots of Tridents, although a lot of them I just remove the 53 or 04 from the registration plate to give a word, e.g

4538 = Bledo
4541 = Bledu
4545 = Beliebe
4546 = Beef
4547 = Bee Gee
4548 = Bleeh
4550 = Bleem
4553 = BLEEP
4555 = Bleat
4556 = Blue
4557 = Believe #1
4558 = Blew
4577 = Bek
4583 = Baking
4586 = Bakez
4587 = Bluff
4588 = You don't want to know what I call this one...
4589 = Black
4591 = Believe #2
4593 = Blowz
4595 = Best Mates (or Bumz as Nath calls it ;D )
4598 = Dad
4599 = Dead
4605 = Dod
4606 = Dud
4608 = Daddy

:)

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Kevin

Saw a news cameraman (presumably) filming the Expressway traffic this morning on me way out of town, amongst the traffic he must have filmed a few buses so I claim some spotter points   ;D ;D ;D ;D
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....
