Maybe not specificly relevant but a bus shelter is going to be (re-)installed opposite the old fire station assumedly for Wood End service 21 and ease bus congestion along Hales St.

JoNi

Presume the change of route 21 relates to reopening of Corporation Street and returning to its previous line of route through the city centre.

I can't see the route change being just for that as there isn't any variations for all the other diverted Corporation St routes.

Service 11 appears to have a Sunday Timetable change.

There's still potential for route/timetable changes on 11U/12X which WarksCC has no obligation to mention.

Adam 404

From 3rd January:
11, 11U & 12X have revised Sunday Timetable.
20, 20A, 20E Minor Timetable Changes Monday - Saturday
21, 21S Minor Timetable Changes Monday - Friday

Also, the services that were diverted away from Upper Wells Street have gone back to their normal route.
Services currently going via New Union Street rather than Corporation Street continue to go via New Union Street heading towards Pool Meadow.

Leaving "eastbound" buses going via Council House will result in them remaining caught up in congestion caused by large numbers of students using zebra crossings on this route. I'd expected this inconvenience was behind us for customers and staff!
The idea of faster bus travel promoted by Primelines really is dead.

21    National Express Coventry    Willenhall- Wood End via Coventry    Resumption of inbound route via Upper Well Street inbound following completion of roadworks
21S    National Express Coventry    Cardinal Wiseman Sch - Wood End via Riley Square    Resumption of inbound route via Upper Well Street inbound following completion of roadworks

21 never used upper well street if this is to be a route change fine but to say resumption is wrong

JoNi

20/A/E MF same service headways with two less buses.
20 self contained and 20A/E self contained, goodbye service resilience.
21 daytime MF service reduced to every 9/10 minutes saving one daytime bus.

Won't they have to remove the branding stating Every 8 Minutes then? As this would presumably a breach of Advertising.

Twi

this is bad to reduce two busses on the 20 means reduced running timew its already tight as it is

So it should return to this then? :

Route 21 towards Wood End:
Remembrance Road, St. James' Lane, London Road, Daventry Road, Queen Isabel's Avenue, Mile Lane, New Union Street, Warwick Road, Greyfriars Road, Queen Victoria Road, Corporation Street, Hales Street, White Street, Bird Street, Stoney Stanton Road, Bell Green Road, Old Church Road, Henley Road, Roseberry Avenue, Almond Tree Avenue, Hillmorton Road.

Route 21 towards Willenhall:
Hillmorton Road, Almond Tree Avenue, Roseberry Avenue, Henley Road, Old Church Road, Bell Green Road, Stoney Stanton Road, Swanswell Street, White Street, Hales Street, Trinity Street, Ironmonger Row, The Burges, Corporation Street, Queen Victoria Road, Greyfriars Road, Warwick Road, New Union Street, Mile Lane, Queen Isabel's Avenue, Daventry Road, London Road, St. James' Lane, Robin Hood Road, Remembrance Road.

Not quite Upper Well St - but pretty-close to it.

The new 21 timetable on Traveline suggests the service will maintain the current diversion route via Council House on journeys towards Wood End, this would be a reason for it's route amendment on Vosa, it also ties in with my previous suggestion of the City timing point moving to a new shelter opposite the Old Fire Station which I now know is due to be installed in the second week of January.

Signage in Corporation Street suggests the carriageway works will be completed on 20th Dec, a new stop post is now installed outside Study Inn (near Tudor Rose), a shelter seemingly not possible due to kerb line being closer to building however adequate shelter underneath building I suppose.
Still anyone's guess when the bus routes will revert, could be next week or could be held back until 3rd Jan (Network stability date).

Only one bus has been taken off the Foleshill Road....
Current common hour cycle is 734 mins run time + 106 mins slack = 840 mins or 14 hours/bus.
Revised common hour cycle is 734 mins run time + 46 mins slack = 780 mins or 13 hours/bus.

There's been a shelter at that spot for some years now - although going back many years that wasn't the case - just a pole I presume. The inbound Corporation St bus stop opposite the Co-op (by the Jaguar pub) seems to have been re-positioned closer to the pub entrance, is there any reason for that? Seems fine where it was!
