A very large chunk of Hereford City Services there........presumably Stagecoach cannot be interested after all.I rather think the 71 in an altered form was one of the original Yeomans of Canon Pyon services dating back over 80 years.

Doesn't look as though Stagecoach are interested.

I seems to be all First Hereford services expect the 420 so far (which First could be keeping & operating out of WR) or I've seen suggestions that DRM might be taking over the full route.

Some routes are still missing they are as follows bar the 420...

🌀 88 > Hereford - The Pastures
🌀 88A > Hereford - Saxon Gate
🌀 437/477 > Hereford - Tillington Common
🌀 454 > Hereford - Fownhope

The 437 is bottom the list of Yeoman's registrations, I expect the rest will follow later or tomorrow

I'm not surprised.  Hereford is quite a few miles from Ross-on-Wye so a city base would really have been needed.  There wasn't much time to set one up from scratch, even if Stagecoach had been interested.

I'm struggling to think of any other English city that is dominated by independents - anyone?

And so the Credenhill service returns to Yeomans who ran it until Midland Red West bought it off them.

Shrewsbury

Two problems there, Shrewsbury isn't a city and has Arriva as the dominant operator

Ripon and Nottingham, with only connecting services to other places operated by big firms Transdev and Stagecoach respectively.
Midland Red West, one of the best Companies to serve Redditch, with some of the best buses.

IMHO Nottingham is not dominated by independents, The two major operators are Nottingham City Transport and Trent Barton. They may not be a part of the big four group but these are not independents.

In the same token from September Yeomans will fall into the same category. In my mind independent means its not part of a big group serving more than one region, i.e. Midlands (east and west). Diamond I would class as not an independent due to Rotala in South West North West and Midlands, EMYS was the same till they sold off Figlands and Whittles.

Independant means independant strangely enough.

Yeomans are definitely independant, there is no owning 'group'

how many extra buses will they need for the new services in Hereford
