Hour delays again tonight, bet the last one that actually goes all the way to Hayley green will be in 10 mins time. After that they won't bother completing full trips. @Simon Dunn is there anyway you can ensure the entire route gets a service in these bad conditions. I understand that there's nothing you can do about the water burst, but at least if you were able to turn vehicles at say West Bromwich and then go back to Hayley green rather than having them all follow each other up to Walsall. To then finish in West Bromwich and go back to depot.

No bus from 18:30-19:05

Speaking of the 002, why is it numbered like that? Such a peculiar route number don't you think?

It's a throwback from when Ludlow's ran the route, they numbered many of there routes starting 00, for example there was the 004 and 006 and I believe a 007

They were
002 Weoley to Merry Hill
004 Harborne to Merry Hill
006 Halesowen circular
007 Bromsgrove to Merry Hill (which got split to be 217 Merry Hill to Halesowen and 007 Halesowen to Bromsgrove)

I do believe the 007 ran Redditch - Merry Hill and it was only from April 2003 that it changed.
Midland Red West, one of the best Companies to serve Redditch, with some of the best buses.

Wasn't the 004 resurrected by Hanson's for a while?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Yes, but they withdrew it a couple of years ago.

Don't get it why Diamond didn't gave it a chance to run it another year. Since the changes to the 10 routes at West Boulevard, 004 would've been welcomed by OAPs even at hourly service.
