Hi Everyone,
I should have asked a member of staff but didn't think at the time. I was on the 07:45 WVH - EUS today which was an 11 unit Pendalino. When we left Rugby we started to really move, does anybody know what sort of speed they do on an average run please?
Cheers

Tony

Wonder if pendellinos will ever be allowed to run at there design speed, 140mph?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Yes, if the infrastructure on the WCML allows - which sadly it doesn't, and probably will never do. The days of running trains at 140mph in the UK are over after it was possible with the 91+MK4 sets on the ECML a few years ago.

It appears that Mr Branson wants his new trains for the ECML to run at 140mph eventually!!
