According to the college website that's the only other service apart from the existing one from Hednesford. Midland Classic also starting a second route.
.
A number of routes are shown as worked by college minibus - do they have a PSV licence?

Don't know if they do, used to regularly see the coach from Stafford to Rodbaston in the morning outside the station but didn't see who ran that, and having not been to Stafford now since March I have no idea what the current situation is. The existing 813 from Swad is being changed and the 17 from Cannock is becoming the 817.

Select have registered a college service from Stafford to Rodbaston from 30th August

Not just Stafford, various other Rodbaston College buses registered from the same date including from Bridgnorth.

I decided to check how many of the former First Leicester ALX400s are still running wherever they were moved to, and they are as follows:
32059 (Great Yarmouth Heritage Bus), 32064, 32066, 32067, 32068, 32077, 32079, 32080, 32082, 32087, 32091, 32092 and 32097. I'm not sure about the Bath University ones as to whether they're just SORN due to the Universities still being closed or if they were due to be withdrawn anyway like the batch at Bristol on the 3 and 4.

The Ensign lists suggest 32064 went for scrap in April this year.

Noticed two bus stops on Lakeside Boulevard (Bridgtown, wonder whether Arriva will ever run a bus round there? Or the X51 to cut past the traffic on the A5.

The 68 or 69 I think went down there for a short while quite a long time ago, probably S106 funded deviation I would have thought. Didn't last very long.

According to a driver at Wigston and someone in Milton Keynes, all of Wigstons B9TLs (allegedly) are going to Milton Keynes. Apparently, no replacements, but how true that is I'm unsure.

The Oxford & Chiltern Bus Page website lists the moves which apparently have already taken place with 4200-2/4/5/9/17 already having made the move to MK on loan from Wigston along with 4211 from Hinckley. B7RLE 3902 also there from Cannock. Doesn't list any transfers back to Wigston other than E400s 4422-25 coming back from loan.

Is the 29 permanently curtailed to Swadlincote and no longer serving Burton??

Suspect it isn't permanent although they had reduced it to hourly from Swad to Burton a while ago, although don't really know until after Covid19.

Hi @I.murphy123

yes it doesn't serve Great Haywood anymore.
I think it's a perminant change. this came into force I think in Sept 19 or may be it was April 19.

Regards

Bus Man K2

It was April 2019 when the contract changed and the route was altered so didn't serve Great Haywood.

There's no X35 showing on the Network West Midlands website, unless they're hiding all temp. withdrawn buses.

Also, companies don't seem to care if numbers clash any more, so it wouldn't be a problem.

There used to be a couple of journeys on the 35 between Walsall and Lichfield numbered X35 which just went straight up the A461 but those don't run anymore or if they do are just numbered 35 like the rest of the service.

Thats good they really needed it. The Scanias on the Leek route look fantastic inside

Haven't been on one of those although they probably had a slightly less arduous life being Park & Ride buses in Chelmsford or Colchester (can't remember which) for a good while.

Have these buses had a refurb also? You would think so after 14 years

Yes, new seat covers etc, quite nice inside

Guess what - it's not tracking so I don't know!

Just graphed 5427 on the 1, just leaving Wolves for Tettenhall Wood. And 5426 is on the 59, currently in the bus station.

You can reserve seats on the 170's. They had reservation notices on the seats on the 170's when I was travelling between Birmingham and Ely the other week.

Since its calling at Wilnecote and running between Cardiff Central and Nottingham, it looks like a 170.

The Cardiff to Nottingham services have reservations, the New Street to Nottingham services usually don't, the 1349 is a Cardiff one. All 170s on that service unless the 1739 peak hour extra drops a Voyager which it very occasionally does.

Similarly the New Street to Stansted trains can be reserved but the Leicester terminators can't.

Is 66971 a recent transfer as it's still down on the midlandred.net website for being still in Leicester

Yes, may have been used at Bradford initially for a short time but suspect it'll become a trainer at Bramley, 974/5 I think are both now trainers and guess 972 is also being converted.
