Quote from: Jack on February 26, 2024, 08:18:42 AMSo they are breaking the rules then...

They quite simply shouldn't be going under there, with them being exempt it's been said from NX.

What part you don't understand that these routes can't be Decker operated I don't understand.
He's clearly not listening.

Quote from: Bus_user_jay on February 24, 2024, 11:13:14 PMWhenever I have been at Bradford Place, WA buses run dead via Caldmore Road, Upper Hall Lane and Dudley Street. Also the B7RLEs can't go under the Bridgeman Street bridge either (as they're never on 39) but they're at Bradford Place every day.... are they meant to run dead down Bridgeman Street?
B7RLE's have been on the 39:
9/02/24 - 2133 was on there on the 1039 and 1209 Walsall - Stowlawn and 1124 Stowlawn - Walsall

Quote from: Tony on February 24, 2024, 10:02:13 PMWon't be April
A YW told me back in November that the routes going Electric are going to be 2, 3 and 18, I asked him about the 50 and he said that "the 50 was too intense to full time Electric".
I took all this with a pinch of salt, or maybe a bowl full !

Quote from: don on February 24, 2024, 09:16:03 PMCouldn't a swap round be done with Pensnett, Wolverhampton and Walsall (eg 529 to Walsall), a route from WB to Pensnett and Pensnett to WN? Yes, agree re the diversion to avoid the bridge at Sandwell and Dudley Parkway.
The only way could be WA continuing running the 4 to West Bromwich only. PN and WB using double deckers to run 4M (using a different route number) PN from West Brom to Merry Hill with WB running shorts West Brom to Blackheath.
The biggest problem with this is it would be very unpopular with passengers.

Quote from: don on February 24, 2024, 08:01:57 PMIf you mean because of Bridgeman Street bridge, buses could use Pleck Road and The Broadway or direct in towards Bradford Place from Pleck Road. In any case, even if the Scanias at Walsall were replaced by B7RLEs can those get under the bridge? And any electric single decker would be hard pressed so the route to/from depot issue surely has to be dealt with in the near future. Could the route swap to WB anyway as part of a switch around of routes?
Your looking at approximately 16 buses used on 4/4E/4M. I can't think of a route at WB using that amount of buses which would we able to run from WA.

Quote from: Wba_lad on February 24, 2024, 12:32:38 PMThe diversion currently on the 4 service seems to be good and no one complaining about it. I wonder if this could be made permanent route to enable deckers to run the route again. And just so Sandwell and Dudley station has a bus run the 3 or 3A down and send the 3 down the same way as 4s.
You haven't thought this through have you:
Where would you get the double deckers from ? With single deckers already appearing on double decker routes in Birmingham, especially YW services 2 and 3, also frequently appearing on PB services 7, 33, 65, 67 and 907. Which routes would have to lose it's double deckers to put on to the 4s ?

Quote from: Tony on February 15, 2024, 10:05:20 AMAnd where are we going to charge them?
Yes exactly, it's amazing where some of these ideas come from, if it was as easy as that it would of been done long before now!

When is all this going to stop ?
Some of these newer members really need to think before they put things on this forum.

Quote from: Stu on February 03, 2024, 07:01:56 PMNo, I'm guessing any 'planned' 68 service ended up becoming the 64 and X64.

The 67A is not withdrawn it's renumbered 68, just click the 'From 25th Feb 2024' tab to download the timetable.

Quote from: hlliwmai on February 10, 2024, 04:51:04 PMWell yes there is that BUT look at the amount of problems they are having with those hydrogens! and then there's the electric buses in Coventry a few drivers I know at Coventry are scared to drive them now following the electric bus fires in London of late it does make you think that maybe NX were a bit hasty to oust the diesel buses
First of all don't believe everything you here, secondly here is a quote from Tony:

3 fires in over a thousand vehicles in 10 years is not my definition of several, as a comparison Stagecoach Highlands had three diesel fires one year in a fleet of around 150. Last year NX had zero thermal incidents other than arson despite operating 163 electric vehicles

Quote from: Mayfield on February 10, 2024, 04:34:13 PMN.X. Should contact Birmingham council and say please come and remove these 20 unusable buses from our premises as we can't be expected to maintain a schedule when
These are unavailable the majority of the time and transfer 20 diesels from YW and send them 20 more electrics which in turn have been sitting around for weeks doing nothing.
If was that simple it would have already happened !

Quote from: hlliwmai on February 10, 2024, 04:14:39 PMYes because the hydrogens are a waste of space what an incredible waste of money they were!, it's really no wonder Birmingham City Council declared themselves bankrupt! Because obviously they were the ones who funded (or at least part funded) them; should have just stuck with conventional diesel wouldn't be any problems then!
How could NX have stuck with 'conventional diesel' when they'd already committed in 2019 not to buy any more diesel buses and be zero emission by 2030 ?

Quote from: JosephR on February 04, 2024, 11:35:17 PMShould not the all over one shade grey buses have their bus times livery rectified.

The Zenobe spares livery' is correct.
I don't think it really matters, even most of us bus enthusiasts aren't really bothered about this, we just want to get on a bus just like everyone else.
