When you get to Snow Hill in the evening peak most of the train near enough empties and a new load of passengers get on. Most people make short journeys on there similar to short journeys on a bus I would guess. Those 172s don't have tables either so not much space for working on a laptop. As someone who lives on the Snow Hill line and used to travel to Worcester for the Uni, I personally used the WiFi regularly, the signal between Kidderminster and Droitwich isn't the best either
It might even be not many use the West Midlands Railway wifi either, I don't know?
Quote from: Sh4318 on November 28, 2023, 11:23:00 AMI don't know if this is an oddity, but 4759's doors aren't inline, it looks like the door closest to the front of the bus is dipping lower than the other one1860's near side and rear displays are now working. 4857's rear display is the latest to stop working
Has it escaped everyone's attention that 6789 has been going round (for at least a year) with no (8/X8) route branding other than the yellow "up to every 10 minutes" banner under the front LED display
7522's rear LEDs are showing that single dot in the left top corner with nothing else, same for 1860's near side and rear display
Quote from: 2206 on December 14, 2023, 07:26:03 PMYou can access the free wifi on a short distance local West Midlands trains service such as from Moor Street to The Hawthorns/Stourbride Junction. All trains seem to have it as well as some stations.Trains are more set up for scenarios where WiFi would be helpful, i.e. working on a laptop, using it as a substitute for mobile data when going under tunnels or in rural areas. Even the Snow Hill lines in length run over an hour, from end to end
Quote from: Sh4318 on November 06, 2023, 12:12:37 PM1936's front LEDs are wonky, and doesn't have an internal fleet number. 4690's rear desi is stuck on NOT IN SERVICE, like 4476's (which shows 0 as it can't show not in service). 1826, 1873, 1877 and 1902's rear desi's don't work, 1905's rear desi shows dead pixels
