Does anybody know why 63531 hasn't been in service for 5 weeks, this is the one that entered service weeks after all the others and has already had a lengthy time out with what if I am correct was accident damage.

If bus times is correct then 63531 has returned from wrightbus and is now back in service.

It is correct. Was on my way home and noticed it was tracking so rushed out again to check and get a photo 😅

Also a Orbital branded E10 was on Hop today which is quite rare (though not as rare as the decker on 20!)

think it's the first time in a long while a decker has been on the 20 the last one afaik being 909 in late 2022.

912 replaced 507 today.

Why have they removed the X6 livery from one of the coaches?
Are they replacing them, or is the coach due to be used on a different route?

Another coach is rumoured to be joining the trio at Barwell so possibly a rebranding is on the way?

4 or 5 electrics at Thurmaston Friday so is the time approaching for them to enter service

I wonder if Kinchbus plan to put the frequencies of these services up. Presently the 5, 11 and 12 each have a PVR of 2, the 2 has a PVR of 1 and the 9 has a PVR of three, making a total of fourteen buses.

the 5, 9, 11 & 12 have had their pre-covid frequencies restored but rarely manage to run a full days timetable on them.

Leicestershire County Council have been awarded an £8.1m share of ZEBRA2 funding for 46 electric buses - 25 of these are double deckers for Arriva Leicester routes 5/5A and 127

Remaining 21 buses are set for Kinchbus routes 2/5/9/11/12

I think this one is the troublesome one as when it first entered service it only managed a morning out on the 54 then was taken off.

Although Electroliner demo LY71 GJE is currently parked up at Abbey Lane so hopefully the much needed deckers are due very soon? 🤞

The B8's are now branded..
All 5 are white with Purple branding for EMA.. with a reference to First bus on the back.
I saw one yesterday on driver training running along the A50 in Markfield.
The service starts on Sunday.

Branding very similar to last year and they look very smart

8000 was parked up at St Margaret's Bus Station today

I understand the electric deckers are due to be launched into service on the 47/48 & 50/51 from early April

Still no word on the Electric Leicester Streetdecks, other than a small post on Facebook fan page stating that leicesters double decker order might be diverted to Leeds. Maybe the ADL demonstrator is here to trial to replace the order?

I've heard the opposite that some of Leeds batch MIGHT be coming to Leicester to bolster the double decker fleet.

Here's hoping more deckers are coming to give more capacity to the busy services.

931 appears to be significantly more reliable than 912 or 913, which often seem to break down according to their tracking data. I would say it is one of the most reliable busses in the whole fleet! I was on it today - the engine still sounds healthy and it never seems to struggle accelerating, so I can only see age being a reason for withdrawal in its current state. I guess we will find soon what will happen to it. I am hoping they at least keep it until August when it will turn 20 years old!

IIRC the previous vehicle to use fleet number 931 was scania decker H231 LOM and that proved to be a reliable workhorse.

The 2 streetlites have now left Leicester.
It means all single fleet is now electric Kite. (Although it's thought 2 are not operable), 35179 has temporary gone on loan to Sheffield for a tram replacement.. (seems strange to me, as we are desperate for double deckers!).
With the 2kites off, streetlites gone and a double decker gone my calculations would indicate Leicester will be short of buses on Monday by 1 vehicle? (During peak PVR if you include both BHX3&5)..

Also, makes no sense.. 68 kites & 18 electro Streetdecks - 86 buses.. this also leaves Leicester short - So my guess now is the previous rumours that some of the "Leeds decker batch" may well be transferring.. or will Leicester be short further, or keeping the Streetdecks? Or could we see a service change announced and potentially a drop of another service or reduction in frequency looming?

the streetlites were a temporary addition to allow for an uplift of deckers on the BHX5 service over christmas.

A case of waiting and seeing what happens with the double decker side of the fleet.

Could be that the electric power needed to charge the buses is not sufficient to the site and a sub station needs to be build at someone's cost.

Centrebus have had this too issue - a look on google street view at their Leicester depot (37 Wenlock Way) shows that a substation is now in situ at the front of the depot.

T23 could be to allow more new drivers to pass through driver training at any one time.
