This has been 'on the cards' for some time and a recent amendment to the registration for the X1( / X2 "900")
indicates/confirms the service is to be operated by NXC from 22nd October.

The following week (half-term) might have been a better choice of date for the 'new' drivers to start off, lighter traffic, etc.
I suppose many will be interested to see what happens with the overnight journeys.
It could be a niche allocation for the 'odd' E020-29 stock if that doesn't complicate things and hoping this doesn't mean deckers are pulled off the 17/17A - this is just my personal opinion/cravings.

Looking at the details in the amended DVSA registrations it looks like the following NXC changes are on the cards,
As usual don't take the following as gospel or the full story...

1 - NXC will no longer operate.
3 - Warwickshire Shopping Park to University Hospital removed from route.
5/5B - Norman Place Road to Lythalls Lane/Everdon Road removed from route.
7 - Evenings and Sunday journeys between City and Brownshill Green removed.
19 - NXC will no longer operate.
20C - Foleshill to University Hospital removed from route.
31 - NXC will no longer operate.

Also amended timetables for 8/9, 14/14A and 17/17A ... TfWM hint a possible removal of Evening and Sunday journeys between Rail Station and Finham on service 9.

In less constrained times one would assume there is going to be a 'semi-orbital' type route put out to tender encompassing bits of the 1/5/20C/31 (?).
Just a waiting game now for all to be revealed.

As mooted amongst the NXWM threads there is also going to be a fair bit of changes to some services in and around Coventry, so I have listed here a summary of new/revised DVSA registrations known so far, served up with the usual it may be incorrect warning:

Service 5/5A - seemingly shortened to Radford (?)
Service 7/7A/7B - existing service 7 extends to replace the City - Bell Green segment of service 10/10A
Service 24  - replaces the 539 and extends from Kenilworth via Burton Green to Tile Hill
Service 25/25A - replaces the 580
Service 26 - replaces the City Centre - Westwood Business Park segment of service 10A
Service 28 - replaces the City Centre - Tile Hill segment of service 10
Service 29/29A - replaces service 1 with extensions at both ends (from Chapelfields to Radford and Walsgrave to Arena Park?)

These registrations are also amended and may just be timetables only : 3 13 14 17 18 21 85

Stagecoach / Midlands service changes - 22/23 Feb 2020
December 26, 2019, 03:15:41 PM
Stagecoach Midlands are currently consulting on a number of service changes on their Warwickshire and Northants ops, this includes Coventry services 48, 55, 56, 86, X17 and X18.
https://www.stagecoachbus.com/promos-and-offers/midlands/your-views-feb-2020

No big surprises, it mainly consists of removing various lightly used journeys such as in the early morning and evenings.
They are also planning to change route X17 to run via Coventry Rail Station forecourt, again no big surprise as the direct pedestrian access between Warwick Rd and the Station was closed for redevelopment works but this change should of occurred sooner really.

A new registration....

PD0000116/185 Registered
MIKE DE COURCEY TRAVEL LTD
Route: Arena Retail Park to Arena Retail Park via Wyken, University Hospital, Willenhall, Cheylesmore, Cannon Park, Uni of Warwick, Tile Hill North, Eastern Green, Coundon.
Service number: 60 (61A, 61S, 61, 60A, 60S)
Service type: Normal Stopping
Effective date: 24 Mar 2019

The existing registrations for services 60 and 61 are cancelled from same date and 43/A is deleted from the 43/A/W registration.

I hazard a guess the Coventry Outer Circle/City Circle is making a comeback as service 60 Clockwise and service 61 Anti-Clockwise, 60A/61A variant omitting JLR Whitley, 60S/61S variant via Bennetts Rd (for Newman School).  Schedule might simply be identical to current 60 timetable but with extension latched on hourly Mon-Sat daytime and probably still interworks with service 703.

Link to Stagecoach in Warwickshire's bus network changes....

NXC say they are currently finalising service changes (diversions) due to the long term roadworks for the Friargate project around Coventry Ring Road J6 and Warwick Road.  Expect this could be occuring as soon as 9th March as Vosa is showing a short notice route change for Johnsons bus services 539 and 580 from that date.
Buses (and taxis) will soon be able to leave Cov Rail Station and access Junction 5 via a new gate currently under construction at the (dead) end of Park Road.

Travel DeCourcey / Service Changes - 26th Jan 2014
December 05, 2013, 04:42:41 PM
There's a few De Courcey service changes on Vosa today... but I have a feeling the two cancellations could be an error and are meant to be amended timetable?
(such errors have happened before on De Courcey registrations).

At the moment one confirmed service change:
NXC have de-registered service 9C  (Finham to Green Lane).  Have Centro cancelled the funding due to not enough users?

I expect this date (Centro half yearly contract renewals) is when De Courcey's Outer Circle service will commence, Centro had suggested "Easter time".  A review of tendered Hospital services, obviously services 801 701/3/4, and possibly the 1 and 778, the Lentons Lane 30 might even come into play.

Cov Telegraph purports service 2 towards Allesley Park will be moving to a departure stand inside Pool Meadow, this was requested by the mature passengers and the route certainly has spare time to do it. Fairfax Street stand V was rather congested before the other routes moved inside PM two weeks ago, will they return to stand V after the roadworks?
I expect the 3/3A service is also going to be amended, NXC have mentioned it's on the cards.
The current 3A route is essentially too long for the allocated running time and needs to be shortened, it cannot really be given extra running time otherwise it will not slot in where it combines with service 2 and 3 between Cheylesmore and City. So what could happen with the 3A route?, a loop for Willenhall which goes clockwise for one journey per hour and anti-clockwise for the other journey per hour, all roads would still be covered and the round trip will be about 2 miles less. Granted this will mean it'll just be hourly for passengers if their journey is within Willenhall or between Willenhall and Toll Bar End. Centro would probably consider this idea complex and wouldn't want it to happen.
Alternately the 3A could just shorten and turnaround by way of a/c loop of St James Lane/Middle Ride and an extension to service 13 on certain journeys via Yarningale Road to Toll Bar End, this option will involve an extra bus though.
