Must give the National Express 147, 550/1, 362-4, 247 and 350 a try. Oh, and the 192 as well.

National Express West Midlands 257.

The 257 is as scenic as a public convenience.

Unless the OP meant the 25
6 (Plus the 255). A route I enjoy every Saturday Evening.
I like the 891 (Soon to be 8/A). Scenic and fast running on Pulsars.
Another good route is the X70 (Shrewsbury - Oswestry). I had ex Cannock Pulsar 3728 on there once and despite the diversions through the houses there are some fast, countryside stretches.
The 890 Is a nice route too. Quite a busy route and leaves Wolverhampton full in the mornings and the same in the afternoon at Bridgnorth. Bridgnorth is a very nice place to visit. Again, Scenic stretches and thrash.

The 255 and 256 are nice runs though. The 257 goes through Gornal, no further explanation needed lol.
Two suggestions for the Stratford area: -
- Johnsons X20 Birmingham - Stratford (mainly double deck), then either 269/270 Stratford - Banbury or 21/22 Stratford - Moreton-in-Marsh. Out and back easily possible in a day although perhaps a little pricey. A day pass is £10 adult or £7 child.
- Stagecoach Coventry - Stratford: out on X16, back on X15/X18 or vice versa. If you get a Dayrider Gold, carry on from Stratford to Evesham and back on the 28/28A. Normally double deck.

I've been through the full route, it goes through some countryside, I was quite surprised with the route it took as I expected it to go through the main roads.
EDIT: Sorry, my mistake, it was the 256, went through Wombourne and in to the countryside and in to Wolverhampton via the A449.

Its still a hard one to call because we've all got our own ideas regarding what we think of as a scenic route. We've all discussed NXWM's current offerings to this category a few times.
Yarrantoms 758 Worcester to Tenbury & R&Gs 291 from Tenbury to Kiddie.
Roberts 7 from Ashby to Nunneaton.
Arriva 114 Bridgnorth to Telford and 297 Bridgnorth to Kiddie.
All the above infrequent.
Central 125, especially between Bewdley and Bridgnorth.
Select 877/878 wolverhampton to Stafford.
Is the arriva 10 between wolves and perton nice?

Not particularly, unless you like houses and trees.
Some may disagree, but during a ride on the 37 (2202), for the first time in a few years, actually, the distance between Acocks Green and Olton Station is actually quite 'adventurous', to me, at least.
MMC's aren't too bad.
I've only ever traveled on 1 Diamond Route and it was the 56 (Birmingham to Brownhills) and I found it to be quite a scenic route. Nice countryside before hitting the High Street of Brownhills
Hansons Stourbridge to kinver not to bad

Or First's 147 from Halesowen to Bromsgrove.

X12 Sutton Coldfield - Burton
19 Burton - Ashby via the National Forest
9 Ashby - Swadlincote
22 Swad - Burton via Coton-in-the-Elms and Rosliston Forestry Centre
810 Burton - Lichfield via Yoxall and Alrewas (the most scenic and double deck)
X12 Lichfield - Sutton Coldfield
All for just £4.90 adult or £3.00 child using a Day+ ticket!
Courtesy of NWM's free nNetwork day ticket, I'd like to add Johnson's 87 and Diamond's 82 (both Coventry to Solihull).
The 87 in particular is very scenic, as it passes through rural Solihull, lots of winding country roads between Burton Green, Balsall Common and Knowle.
Yardley Wood's 50 is quite scenic when it travels along Bells Lane heading towards the terminus at Druids Heath.

Birmingham Centrals 70 is a very scenic route in Water Orton and Coleshill especially.

Dunno if your accounts been hacked mate but I've lived in those flats and theyre disgusting. Theres nothing to see.
Arriva 62A (Cannock-Lichfield via West Chadsmoor, Hednesford, Hazelslade, Cannock Wood, Chase Terrace & Burntwood). Every 120 minutes on Sundays, Cannock-Hednesford is just estates, but the rest of the route is fast running through countryside and over hills. Awesome in a Pulsar, and i suspect as good in a Citaro!

I mean, Druids Heath is on a hill, you can see the great view from the surroundings, except for those horrible flats.

All you can see is grotty council estates.
