2167 has been re-branded for the 20. Picture on a Facebook group. Similar colour to the new 4 branding at Walsall
They'll soon be every five minutes along the Foleshill Road!

Just seen 4224 at Dartmouth Circus on the back of an RS Recovery vehicle. Looks like it's heading to Miller Street where it will be taken for scrap inevitably from there.

For any dude that wants to see it 4142 goes to Keresley on 16/A from town at 1044, 1234, 1424, 1621, 1817, 2017....if it doesn't break down!

Was it the first day out on the road today in Coventry for 4142 ?  I went for a trip on it this afternoon and to be fair, the Bus seemed to run and sound pretty good, although due to its age now (and which can obviously be expected !), it does show lots of signs of ware on its inside and some etching on its glass upstairs !  It's still nice to have this old Bus over here though and its Red and White livery makes a refreshing change from all the Sky Blue !!!lol.

4142 was on the 11 yesterday morning and then came back out again in the afternoon on school 21S, one journey on 27A, and a trip on 5.

So the fire damaged sustained to 4224 didn't badly affect its engine it seems.

Is 4142 wearing Coventry fleet names or still repping the West Midlands?

West Midlands, but unlike two other companies in the city yesterday showed correct destination not a piece of paper in the windscreen.

Thank you "P419 EJW" for your reply to my question about 4142, as it's much appreciated !  After i did my post on here about it, i went back out again and did a late night trip on it and i've actually changed my opinion on it slightly, regarding its interior ?  I sat downstairs on it this time and to my surprise, the seating upholstery looked to be in pretty good shape and because i was sitting at the back, i noticed more clearly that it certainly sounded very good and unless it does a 4401 and catches fire (hopefully not !), i reckon this Bus could easily last on the road for quite a long time to come ???  Whoever was responsible for sending it over to Coventry, i say a big "THANK YOU" to you !!!!!!!!!!

I caught 4144 into Town yesterday morning and i noticed that its sky blue coloured front roof dome is starting to become a red one, due to its paint coming off ! (It must be all that tree branch bashing that does it ?lol).

4142 is a good one. Hopefully it doesn't have the same death to 4224 and 4401. 4144 (I think!) is the one that has annoying beeping sound whenever it goes near a bridge. I don't get why 4142 didn't go through paint for sky blue.

Coventry needs the bus now, not in a couple of weeks time

JoNi

4142 is on 16/A 19:17, 21:17 Keresley from town if on the working I think it is. New ticket machine issuing National Express Coventry tickets.
