So the first day of the rather odd changes with Nuneaton's 1/2/9 bought some interesting workings in today..

39680/39687/39688/39692/39696 ALL on 48s
36160/36163/36153 - 1/2/9
47512 - 48
47077 - 56

Nuneaton can now only have 4 buses VOR max per day. Today 36207 had a smash in Tamworth, and 36751's wheels were quickly placed back on to replace it, when the bus was back in Nuneaton (left for the 8pm 48) 36159 was put on the road, and 36751 back onto the pits.
Regards, Ben.

X44 has produced some variety:  22838 (8:20 Monday), 15935 (4:30, 7:00 Monday), 15942 (5:50 Monday), 18155 (8:20 Tuesday).
Will see if this settles down over the next few weeks.  On all the buses there have been no passengers.

Solo 47654 made a very rare appearance on the RL1 today.

What should be on the RL1? I thought it was a "whatever's left" allocation.  Does the appearance of a Solo indicate that the novelty of the Lakes is wearing off?

Tends to be a E200 or Scania E400, though it has been Tridents and MANs too.  THis is the first time I've seen a Solo on it though,

Thanks for the answer.  That seems to give strength to the "whatever's left" theory.  Now the schools are back, presumably there'llbe fewer double deckers available.

Speaking of double deckers, new route X44 seems to be worked by deckers all the time.  Hardly necessary, as the most crowded bus I've yet seen had 4 passengers!
Seen on X44 recently : 18155, 18159, 19010, 19089, 15455, 15935

Also:
47518 - 9A (finally got this one!)
28627 - 8
37053 - 1
37057 - X46/7

I always hesitate to get involved in "unusual" workings topics especially with Stagecoach.  But where will Nuneaton's spare golds "usually" turn up?  I'd guess the Matrix routes would be particularly likely, especially on Sundays.  Time may tell.
But at the moment, with the reallocations still in progress, there are likely to be more than the usual number of unusual workings.
For example, on Friday afternoon (March 9th) in Coventry I noted 36748 (on 55) and 36752 (on 48), two of a batch I've rarely seen in Coventry (especially branded examples).  Leamington had an ex Nuneaton E200 on the X68 (what's unusual on this? - a Versa?  ;D) and 34772 on the X17.

No photo of 34772; none of those I took had the destination display showing; a trait all too common with Stagecoach Darts.  :(
