@the trainbasher

Glad it wasn't just me who really liked that Aberdeen Park and Ride livery! It does look very smart!

This livery I like as well-First Scotland East

I also like this one:

In fact, the new First bus livery/interurban liveries generally.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/didbygraham/13857150025/ A great example, as is:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/capuchinoking/14136551331/in/photolist-nxcwcD-7xFdMC-fsGaP5-7wL4qG-7CKgkK-6Mpvd8-7xBpDR-7ddgrW-6Z1Ams-adXjnn-ekgkyH-4t9hkt-7fHkwD-ecbPPC-7CKgGD-e7w1F4-8hGFsT-4tdkpS-63vBLS-847Byk-6NTiYR-acoyeg-71S5gr-e7BFt1-7zqUtT-71W5Pu-63qAwM-6PpMNp-bmEKkP-dEjxk2-d9NJZN-dqjctL-d9NJL4-81D4Y2-d9NJq3-bpB1yp-6ubrjN-bZKtWm-7HQEiA-cu6oZU-a8L1XR-7HRdKA-99MTEE-869nRj-6u7gQn-cD4Jv5-c26LGQ-7HReXY-7HLx4T-bxSjpX

I also like the Preston Bus livery:

Incidentally, there's a batch of Arriva Shappire E400's currently being completed at ADL Scarborough

I wonder if that is one of the ones coming our way for Tamworth or Derby

I do really like that Edinburgh X62 Tartan Livery as well that DiamondDart linked to

I like the Blazefield/Transdev liveries myself:

All are good calls! Especially that X1 livery and the new Witchway livery!

Arriva Sapphire looks nice on the sb200's: https://www.flickr.com/photos/81543024@N06/14086259369/in/pool-2080329@N24/

Thanks for that link-possibly for us in the North East! :P

Saw a photo of one that has just been refurbed as well at Thorntons of Ashington but can't find the link. When I find it, I'll post it!!

In the local area, my favourites are

  • Diamond's 002, as much as I criticise their running of the route, their branding is iconic and distinctive, particularly as it continues on the inside. I also like the idea that each bus has its own character/theme on the back.
  • Trent Barton's Villager services. I'm sure I saw "we've pulled out all the stops to get you there on time" on the back of one which I thought was really witty.
  • Woosh!
  • Stagecoach's Unibus Enviro400s in Warwickshire. Stagecoach are one of few companies that can get away with so many colours in a livery...
  • And of course all Green Buses... (particularly 113)
Looking farther afield, my favourites are

  • Reays, particularly the "Lakes Hopper" livery on the open top Olympian used on the 78R, 555R etc last year. This is one of the best liveries I've ever seen (see photo below)
  • Stagecoach Enviro400 FX07 CME, the "Lincolnshire" livery. So eye catching. Not sure if any others have it.
  • Reading Buses. My favourite is probably the Pink routes' livery, simply as you don't see many buses in pink, but they are all excellent!

The Transdev Witchway livery is a very attractive livery; here are some of the best liveries I know of;

1) https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=BN14CUH

Metrobus Wright Eclipse Volvo B7RLE; good colours and stylish livery

2) https://www.flickr.com/photos/68628359@N04/8447143157/sizes/l

Transdev Blazefield Burnley & Pendle

3)http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/oo298/y1642004/Belfast%20Buses/3182365698_fba45a9d56_o.jpg
   http://www.ith.org.uk/S0789-001.jpg

Ulsterbus Wright Solar - basic but easy on the eye - if the white was replaced with silver it would be more attractive

4) https://www.flickr.com/photos/46341292@N05/6680518353/lightbox/

Stagecoach Livery on the Enviro 300 - good with branding and without!

5) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/81/Hedingham_Omnibuses_bus_L386_Alexander_Dennis_Enviro400_SN10_CCV_(1).jpg

Hedingham Enviro 400 livery - Smart livery and if it was in blue, would be ideal for Birmingham  ;)

(6) Reading Buses/Nottingham City Transport/Trent Barton - some good branding  implemented by these operators

(7) Plymouth Citybus - http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8441/7826371622_27cf795281_o.jpg

Inside the West Midlands: Best liveries are:

1 - TWM Toothpaste - http://wmbusphotos.com/NXWM/1750-1953/twm1841.090126.jpg - Smart (when maintained)-maybe better if it was all one colour(e.gblue)
2 - Solihull Signature   - https://www.flickr.com/photos/bigdan14025/7362210788/lightbox/ (what actually happened to AE10CTO?)
3 - Johnsons                - http://wmbusphotos.com/Johnsons/johnsonsYT13HKY.130715.jpg - attractive colours and design
4 - Silverline Enviros    - http://wmbusphotos.com/Silverline/silverlineZ10ZSN60EDO.110106.jpg - they stand out and look immaculate whenever I see them

@Liberator9

AE10CTO was sold to an operator in New Zealand last September I think.called Tranzit.

@DiamondDart

Thanks for that information; didn't know it would end up on the other side of the world  :o Miss having the MCV on the S2; preferred it to the Solo SRs.

I never went on it but I liked AE10CSF. Did AE10CTO have astandard interior or a signature interior as I never went on it?

Liberator9

@DiamondDart

It had an interior very similar to this MCV evolution interior (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ea/MCV_int_eVolution.JPG). However instead of the fabric seats it had blue leather covers with the words Signature sewn into the leather. It was a good bus; bit loud but had a lot of power!
