Quote from: B7RLE on March 29, 2024, 10:03:13 PMI'm very confused about a 'stop' in Wollaston on the 8. NXWM, google maps and bustimes lists 'Apley Road' as a bus stop, and its on the announcements. The stop flag is 'not in use' and has been since like 2020, with no timetable information there, and the drivers dont stop there when someone dings the bell. Is this supposed to be a stop on the 8 or not...?
If it's any consolation the next stop on Vicarage Rd is no distance away, just 70 metres if you cut through the Sainsbury's local car park.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on March 29, 2024, 10:59:55 AMAccording to TfWM upcoming bus service changes the Coventry SC 60 will no longer call at the Jaguar plant from 06 April.
https://www.tfwm.org.uk/plan-your-journey/ways-to-travel/buses-in-the-west-midlands/upcoming-bus-service-changes/

It's is good to see TfWM covering Coventry changes although so far not found this mentioned on the SC service changes site?

New timetable on Traveline is showing some journeys will continue to serve Jaguar Whitley around the employee shifts, 12 trips on Mon-Fri, 5 on a Saturday - TfWM purported this was going to happen last October!

Quote from: paulb1973 on March 24, 2024, 11:31:46 AMBuses along Brookside Ave again - the 11 (of old, up to April 1985) used to terminate there. Has it been used by buses since?

The 'E' service was re-routed further along Allesley Old Road to Brookside Avenue and Wildcroft Rd in it's latter years probably at the time the 26 to Allesley Park operated, c.2002-2006, in order to maintain a 4 per hour daytime service along Allesley Old Road (not counting service 1).

https://nxbus.co.uk/coventry/service-updates/changes-to-the-51-service
From 7th April, a subtle revision to the 51 route in the Whoberley area to run along Broad Lane, Wildcroft Road and Brookside Avenue (instead of non-stop along Glendower Avenue) this also applies to the Mon-Sat Stagecoach service.
Considering the frequency reduction to the 14 service last summer this is a good move.

Quote from: karl724223 on March 16, 2024, 07:06:17 PMN bus tickets valid in tfwm land all operators
Daysaver extra valid on nx buses only issued outside tfwm land
One thing you've all missed is revenue on a daysaver extra ticket Nxwm get full £4.50
When bus is outside tfwm land I think the nbus ticket goes of the ticket machine so only daysaver extra can be issued outside tfwm land

This is always what I thought since the start, with nearly all NX tickets being morphed into a 'nBus West Midlands' this has created the benefit that NX drivers no longer have to deal with the hassle of ticket boundaries on nBus or local area tickets, the only exception to this is the NXCov Student ticket which I think only exists because Stagecoach has a similar product.

The issue remains with the Daysaver Extra infomation which is suggesting what was the old rules, i.e (NX)Daysaver not nBus applies for travelling on NX buses outside the nBus zone, however that is no longer the case apparently.

SC bus had an incident on the A46 in Warwickshire.
Looks like it has done some field ploughing?
Except for the photo there is not much detail in the paper.

This was Leamington's 27213 working a Warwick University bound U1 which somehow 'missed' the off slip to Stoneleigh Junction.

Quote from: Rachvince53 on February 17, 2024, 08:31:34 PMFrom what I can tell from the additional information provided, this is the same price as a regular daysaver (nBus) but ONLY valid on and can only be purchased from NX Buses both within and outside the nBus area.

There is still a conflict in the infomation....
The single/day ticket page is saying the nBus is valid for all NX services.
The Operating Area page is saying the Daysaver Extra is required for NX services outside the nBus area.

I did have a theory the Daysaver Extra was just for travellers originating outside the nBus zone but 7 months in there still isn't a straight clear answer on this.

The NX website has I believe recently added a few fairly detailed 'Daysaver Extra Maps' which suggest the Daysaver Extra is required for "travelling outside of the nBus area including Staffordshire, Worcestershire or Warwickshire".
The regular day ticket page continues to say £4.50 for all ops in the nBus zone and all NX.

Am I correct in saying the Daysaver Extra is the day ticket you receive when boarding a NX bus outside the nBus zone? if so this still needs to be clarified correctly on the website because there is still an obvious conflict in the infomation there.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on February 11, 2024, 06:57:41 PMWasn't sure where to post this so started a new thread. Hope this is OK?

SC 60 operates only across Coventry.

Interesting situation tomorrow morning as part of the SC 60 route is blocked for about 2 weeks at Willenhall Lane.
I've not found it mentioned in their Service Updates so do they know about it?

First bus tomorrow should reach there at about 0630. Will watch to see what happens.

Wonder what the detour will be to continue to serve both Willenhall shops and WSP - A46 bypass maybe?

Well done to NXC who have already reported their solution for the 13 service.

It'll most likely just be Langbank Avenue and Allard Way with passengers in or out of Willenhall probably advised to interchange at Whitley Asda to/from service 21.

Since 29th January Coventry service 11 isn't tracking on evening journeys, same occurs with service 12X but only on Sunday evenings.

Riding E052 today it correctly pronounced '17 to Fenside' throughout the journey however upon approaching the terminus stop 'Fenside Avenue' it was spelt correctly on screen but incorrectly pronounced as Fernside Avenue.  (Probably unrelated but a Centro map many years ago spelt it 'Fernside Avenue'.)
Also when we paused at Fenside we hear an end of journey announcement which is technically correct but it is common knowledge that passengers can travel through this terminus, for example if a passenger travelling on a 17 wishes to reach a stop on the 17A spur or vice versa, there was two others who travelled through on my journey today.  I do apologise if this sounds like I'm nitpicking  :cheesy:

Quote from: Sandy Lane on January 01, 2024, 10:23:26 AMThere may be a clue in the timing point of the timetable you mention?
The X30 today does not serve Pool Meadow and the old sports centre (Fairfax St) is the timing point. In the TT you talk about the timing point stop is moved to Hales St but not sure where exactly. Could this indicate a route change using a new operator?
Clicking on the map indicates the stop on Hales Street which it currently drives past, namely the current 21 to Wood End stand opposite the old fire station, this was mooted before in a previous timetable some years ago but never came to fruition and quickly disappearred, I see you also suggested this a few years ago and I fully agree with it.
Our only hope for next week is a new operator - not building my hopes up though, a new operator will also be a sitting duck unless they accept nBus etc. tickets to/from Ansty Park.

Coventry services 60 and 703 has ran to MF timetable today (and this week?) despite all the channels claiming 'Saturday level of service'.
It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact the MF timings for the 60 are completely different to Sats (including between the peaks) and the 703 doesn't have 'Saturday' service.

Quote from: spacecowboy150 on December 26, 2023, 11:49:49 AMWhy are a load of Coventry routes on the NXWM page? Namely 25s, 14s and 85s (which have been there for a while)
The timetable data (or some of it) is tagged to the 'incorrect' operator, we can only hope they'll be corrected within a few weeks.

Quote from: JPC on December 16, 2023, 08:27:17 PMTracking history maps now seem to be removed rather quickly - around 18-24 hours after the trip.
Luckily this was just a temporary blip lasting about a day - as when planning a trip I do like to see how well a particular journey has performed over the past week/month.
