Quote from: fleetline6477 on March 25, 2024, 09:55:41 PMAn Optare Solo on  route that frequently has Optare Solos on it.
But one of the later Solos transferred down, as we normally get the older ones, which pleased the driver, apart from occasionally losing the gears, which has been reported, I gather.

They seem to have enough trouble with diesels, without adding another power source into the mix!

30703 running late on the 326.

The 1506 from Bilston departed 10 mins late & I managed to catch it,in Willenhall, rather than waiting for the 1536 to turn up!

Looking at Bustimes, looks like it had a problem early on, on its journey into Bilston.

4956 at Powertrain (?) Willenhall.

Parked near the fence, so I could see the number as the 326 went past!

Quote from: Jack on March 21, 2024, 12:23:28 PM5 and 16A are being diverted through Sandwell Valley down to the Albion Ground then along Birmingham Road towards West Brom.
Unless I've read the Bustimes map wrong, looks like the 5's are going down Wigmore/Pennyhill Lane, near a Sandwell Council depot IIRC, but it has been a good 30 odd years since Ive been down that particular way.

(Bloke who I went to college with, decided to try & jump over a dip down there in a Vauxhall Chevette!)

Quote from: Bob on March 20, 2024, 08:44:48 PMWonder why theyre so short? They got buses off road or something?
Aint they always short, for one reason or another, since they started, with the buses breaking down?

Quote from: Gareth on March 20, 2024, 04:56:52 PMWhilst route branding works, I can't see any benefit from having generic Wolverhampton only branding.
They've had it on the fleetnames for the past few years!

I haven't seen this mentioned on here so for those who want to avoid pop-ups, videos and answering a survey for the privilege of reading the article, here is a summary

Hydrogen buses will be introduced with a hydrogen generation system sourcing water from the nearby canal.

Well, they didnt mention electric, so stands a good chance, Walsall will go all hydrogen then!

(Which is logical, considering what the 51 is SUPPOSED to be operated by!)

30706 - Internal display screen, displaying the delights of 'Taste Cumbria' !

Slightly off topic, but does anyone think the '4 sided' shelters are a help to a wheelchair bound passenger?

The one Diamond to Walsall I was on this morning, managed to miss one, but how much of that was down to the driver & how much was down to the stop design I dont know.

I only saw the guy last second myself!

Quote from: Westy on March 17, 2024, 01:24:43 PMThere's a bloke at work I know that lives in Cheslyn Hay, that goes to the Villa.

Sure I've given him the X51 timetable in the past.

Must ask him how he gets there!
He uses car or train, so bang goes that one!

Quote from: Justin Tyme on March 17, 2024, 04:48:34 PMYes.  When I get an nBus day ticket on an NXWM bus, the ticket says:-

"NOT VALID ON OTHER OPERATORS OUTSIDE OF THE WEST MIDLANDS"

So clearly, it's valid on all NXWM and NXC services everywhere plus all operators in TfWM land.  I have travelled on NX buses to Nuneaton and Rugby (among other "outside" towns) using nBus day tickets issued on NXWM buses without any issues.  What I haven't tried yet is doing the same using nBus tickets issued by other operators.

That makes sense to me.
I've just checked the one I had on the 7th March while I was off work off an NX vehicle, and it doesn't say that at all!
