2069 failed to operate the 1509 9 to Walsall, according to my sister waiting in Wednesfield, so she's had to catch a 59 to Peacock Avenue, & walk back to Bloxwich from there.

(Looking at Bustimes, it's gone out of service back to Walsall, via Willenhall, presumbly to pick up its next journey from Walsall.)

Wonder if it's a new driver not used to the route, as the older drivers(if there's any left!) would've known?

Also if it was early morning, surely they would've been coming from the garage via Bloxwich & if starting the 10, wouldn't need to run via Clayhanger anyway?

Quote from: Stu on April 19, 2024, 07:07:23 PMIn theory yes, it would be possible.

In reality, the time and cost involved in replacing all the seat backs and stripping the interior body apart to run all the additional wiring into the electric supply, it would probably not be worth it.

To be honest, whenever I travel on vehicles with USB charging sockets, I hardly ever see any passengers using them anyway.
To be fair, how many people think to carry a charging cable around with them, bearing in mind, a 'small' percentage of the fleet only have them anyway.

If you're going away, yes, plus you might keep a spare one at work(I got a cheap one from Poundland for that purpose, that I can plug into the PC!).

Ive done the 11.

Is the 8 worth a look, from a bash pov?

First X51 from Cannock appears to be running approx 12 mins late, with a Diamond service also running 6 mins late on the Bloxwich to Walsall section.

(A 2nd Diamond is running on time though! Doubt I'll get that 326 home tonight, unless thats running late!)

Didnt see the number, but one E200 is showing 70 E to Beechdale.

Havent looked at the timetable, but I think he shouldve put in the full 70 Bloxwich instead, as I dont recall a 70 A at this time?

Quote from: PB50 on April 14, 2024, 09:06:22 PMBecause there was a parade this morning from the mosque in Caldmore to the one in Pleck buses were on diversion. My friend was on the 45 diamond bus coming from Bescot stadium and the driver turned left past Morrisons then right and carried straight on down Pleck Rd past the Manor Hospital then past the fire station then past Walsall college then past the Morrisons in Walsall to go straight across the top of the market by Asda down to the mini island then down Bradford St in to the bus station. Surely he could have found a quicker way 🤣🤣
Right at Morrisons, along the Broadway to Birmingham Road, Ablewell Street, the one way by Asda, then as you said?

(Is this the same parade, that a few years ago, saw a 529 on the pedestrinised Bridge in Walsall TC, well off route?)

Why didn't TPTB do what was done with the Ailsa Volvo's & change the number blinds to electronic across the fleet?

Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on April 13, 2024, 10:32:03 AMYeah seen it in the E&S they are diverting Elmore Green Lane, Sandbank and Syend the 32 is using Bell Lane
Edit not fatal lad was stabbed in the shoulder
X51 also diverting Elmore Green Lane, Sandbank and Sneyd Lane
Is the diversion still happening now?

Got the impression from Bustimes things were back to normal.

I've got to go up in a bit. Might have a look.

Also 'our mate' Eddie Hughes has Facebooked as well!

Quote from: Sandy Lane on April 13, 2024, 09:28:36 AMSimilar in Coventry.

Before they lifted and shifted overseas the HSBC bank had a suite of big offices in Coventry and the nearest stops (outwards & into town) are still called HSBC today - quite meaningless today.

There seems to be no real local name nearby that could be used instead except for other businesses including a local bus/coach operator. So how about changing the stop names to A-Line? It would make more sense to people locally.
Then if A-Line disappears for any reason, the process starts again.

What about the street name, that should always be the priority for the stop?

Incident late last night in Bloxwich, that caused the 31 & 32 to be diverted via Elmore Green Road, missing out the High Street, according to Bustimes.

Looks like the other Bloxwich services were able to serve normal route.

According to Facebook, it appears to be a fatal stabbing.

Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on April 12, 2024, 01:15:22 PMThe last bus stop towards Wolverhampton that the 79 serves is called Car Craft Car Craft hasn't been there for years, No point calling it Trade Centre as this is set to move to Bentley on the Old Showcase Cinema site, so this could be renamed Darlaston Road Woden Road West which is the road the 79 turns onto after Darlaston Road
There's probably quite a few like that, that have had to change over the years.

Some are probably still known by the old name locally, despite changing officially.

Wasn't there a famous one at Quinton, that WMT made a 'fuss' of at the time, because they were updating the timetable leaflets?

Hollybush to Jeffersons, I think it was?
