I understand there may be at least 3 currently at Tividale, only one has been identified so far as 20881 YJ62FJK.

I assume you meant route 231?

Are diamond preparing for some more routes then with an influx of buses as of late, or are that's replacing older vehicles?

Think they're modernising the fleet / increasing the number of Euro 5 buses they have available

Yes, all Birmingham Buses need to be Euro 5 by 2020.

Bob, is replacing the next few Darts when the MOT runs out.

I assume that means that some of the 16/16W & 50 allocated buses will need replacing in the not too distant future. As Tividale only has the 6 x 09 plate Volvo/Centro (30822/3/4-8 ex Royales), 30880/1 & 4 x 13 plate Volvo/Wright (30942/3 are obviously branded for the 4/4H) that will comply.

Any hint of any new or nearly used full size buses being acquired for Diamond during this year?

Looks like 20884 is currently on loan to Redditch:

All Birmingham buses need to be Euro 6 by 2020 not Euro 5, so these purchases will be no good for the 16 & 50. I believe TfWM are going to specify tenders at Euro 6 as well

One thing I will never understand is the specification of high Euro buses for routes which essentially carry no one. Leather seat solos put on the tendered routes, not exactly any point. As for Euro 6 buses by 2020 this is just going to minimise competition for the likes of nx who are the only ones that can afford the ridiculous prices of new buses. Absolutely crap what has happened to this region.
