But have you noticed that the bus war in Tamworth has suddenly subsided, along with the award winning 'Xpre55' quietly being withdrawn. All competition between Arriva & Central Buses has now ceased as a result of these changes.........   :-\

Indeed, not like a deal between the operators has happened or anything...

Will cost me a bit more from Walsall to Tamworth then, unless I go via Cannock to Lichfield instead.

Wouldn't it be quicker getting x51 brum then 110?

It'd be quicker to get the 77 to Sutton Coldfield and then the 110 to Tamworth than go via Birmingham City Centre.

35 minutes  - X51 Walsall to Birmingham City Centre
68 minutes - 110 Birmingham City Centre to Tamworth.
103 minutes on the bus overall

40 minues - 77 Walsall to Sutton Coldfield.
37 minutes - 110 Sutton Coldfield to Tamworth.
77 minutes on the bus overall.

Struggle to see how the 142 makes any money. They messed up the timetables so now no one uses it in peak times, and it could easily go round hasbury in 30 mins. Diamonds days guaranteed full bus on the morning and evening journey. Shame they didn't keep a peak only 142 service similar to the 108. Seems that tbe halesowne- QE section can't cope with e200s on the 244. There's got to be opportunities there for it to work some way.

The 142 is a tendered (TFWM) service

Diamond didn't keep a peak only service, Diamond don't operate it any more and the 108 has always been a peak only service, Central Buses started the peak only service after Diamond withdrew it and it is follows a fairlys different route now via Erdington and the Yenton, rather than going via Tyburn Road like when Diamond operated it.
