Unless something else is tracking as it
Quote from: solonightrider on April 11, 2024, 09:41:51 PM60 was one bus short for some period of the day as one evora was whipped off it and put on pye green leaving the 60 1 bus down. also the 63 regular knacked solo failed in Rugeley again,,, causing chaos with the traffic lol . surely they dont need any more poxy solos the ones they have seem to be problomatic on reliablilty - one old solo was towed in also from Uttoxeter last night too as seen it hooked up to a tow truck, 625 seems to of dissapeared aswell unless its finally in the body shop as it looks so unkept externally . Lot of them ex arriva volvo's seem to be constantly failing leaving 2 hour gaps on 826 828 routes too on a regular basis. Hear a rumor the 826 is being dumped soon too guess folk are fed up of being left stranded when the service is failing to operate on regular basis with end of life buses not up to the job.58 plate Scania pressed into use in cardiff colours. Unusual buy that is
Quote from: Wba_lad on April 11, 2024, 04:43:45 PMApparently Chaserider have 2 new buses, 328 being a optare solo SR in the new Centrebus orange and blue livery which is apparently on the 60. The second one is 998 which is a scania K230UB Wright Solar but on the DVSA website the vehicle is showing as SORN. Anyone know what these are and if they are true please.Centrebus 747 H6 UHL is also here. Operating onthe 63, seen it in Chadsmoor earlier
Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on April 10, 2024, 10:00:25 AMThe X51 is probably slightly quicker or was between Bloxwhich and Walsall as it did go along Green Lane as opposed to leaving the main Bloxwhich Road to go through LeamoreHasnt done for years though
Quote from: Wumpty on April 09, 2024, 08:57:25 PMAs I mentioned in a previous post/thread, I caught the X51 from Bloxwich to Walsall, though never actually thought to do so when planning my journey!Yeah, even the Cannock to Walsall/Walsall to Cannock leg is pretty busy. Sometimes both decks almost full.
Looking at some of the marketing, there's a greater expected emphasis on the interurban Cannock - Walsall - Brum commuters, rather than the shorter local journey passengers where the X51 mirrors the Track routes.
My experience catching X51 against the old Timesaver 950/1/2 services, the X51 seems to be a more successful offering (granted, the bus landscape has changed), with increased frequency, the shortworkings and the higher loading numbers. I dare say this creates some challenges as @Bob appears to have experienced, though this success coupled with the Brum traffic, does come at a price at times.
Quote from: Westy on April 09, 2024, 04:19:54 PMHow many go short distance Walsall to Bloxwich on the X51, as the 31 / 32's do get delayed at times?A few did yesterday and also people got on in stafgord st and leamore to go to wyrley etc
Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on April 09, 2024, 12:58:12 AMDriver on the 15:24 probably thought he was late to Walsall, I know the X51 To Cannock gets busy so did that anyone actually get on heading for Cannock from BrumYea a few people were still on at Walsall. Bus was almost full up and down once people at Walsall boarded too. NX seem to have made a decent success of the X51
Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on April 08, 2024, 07:36:52 PMMight be late Metro Works on Moor Street causing the X51 to Divert into Birmingham at Peak times which 3PM is in Birmingham it was probably late, the Cannock buses were showing earlierThe 3.55pm one isnt showing as ran. I just meant imagine not realising that one that said walsall on till 15 secs before it left was a cannock one then waiting for the next one not to come ( if it didnt run ) wouldnt of been a barrel of laughs in Old Square. You have to run the gauntlet of begging smackheads round there as it is lol
Quote from: Wumpty on April 04, 2024, 11:05:01 AMThere are high rates of unemployment around other areas of Walsall, Wolverhampton, Cannock and Staffordshire so unsure why there's an inference that being on dole money means you'll be attacking buses.Yet weve got loads of vacancies so why are people allowed to live off the taxpayer for years lol
Any bus route is susceptible to antisocial behaviour - some of Chaserider's other routes operate around areas where unemployment is prevalent, without any instances of ASB.
I am pleased that they have had only very isolated instances of bus damage which should see finances directed to other areas requiring attention.
