Noticed there wasn't a thread for train photos, so I thought I'd start one.

Caught 390010 passing through Tipton with it's new livery earlier today. I was using a loaned camera from Wolves uni, and had it set to manual as I was doing some landscape photography, so the shutter speed was too slow for it, but hey, it still came out okay.

An unidentified London Midland 350 approaches Tipton heading towards Birmingham New Street.

Finally, an unknown Virgin Trains West Coast 390 speeds past the canal at Tipton, heading in the direction of Wolverhampton.

Hi I had wondered how you were able to load your photo's to the forum page? have they been cropped? I was under the impression that photo's were generally far too big TBH...I have always uploaded any worthwhile photos direct to Tony for inclusion in his catalogue. They seem to find their way there eventually!    Are we starting a new album with this thread?.... :-\
Mind the Gap.....?:-)

Probably uploading them to an external site and using the direct link in the 'image' function.

[ img ]http://PUT LINK HERE [ /img ]   < put your link to your image in the middle, without the spaces in between the brackets. You need the direct link so it'll end in something like .jpg or .png depending on the file type you want to attach.

It'd be better if you guys carried on giving the photos to Tony tbh, as this thread won't have any organisation after a few pages.

Yeah, that's how I usually do it, but I tend to click Preview first before posting, as then it'll automatically reduce them to the right size for the forum.

I've just finished uploading all of my images from a day out to Tyseley and back, nothing noteworthy but it was a fun few hours out there. Kudos to the Chiltern drivers, ended up getting a few two-tones from them without even asking. Too bad I was taking photos and not recording! ;)

Spent an afternoon up in Stafford, it seems luck was on my side as 345014 stopped there for a while, while I was there. It seems like a great place to take photos considering the amount of traffic passing through there, and the staff were really nice too! :)

I just posted some video footage from when I was in Stafford too, if anyone's interested! :)

DRS 57312 was dragging Greater Anglia DVT 82013 earlier today, I caught it when it was passing through Rugeley Trent Valley.

I've been down on the Chiltern Mainline, mainly at Widney Manor, for the past couple of days. Nothing really noteworthy, but hey, it was a fun couple of days out, at least!

@StourValley98 Some impressive shots there! Loving that Southern 377 coming round that bend...

Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the direction of the newly liveried West Midlands Railway trains? Not sure whether my best bet are the Class 172s or the 323s. I've had multiple people tell me the 323s on the CrossCity lines, but to be fair, they are the people who live in the area in which that line serves! Should I just try my luck with the 323s?

350262 did the 07:39 New Street to International this morning, so is probably still around locally in the lastest version of the LNWR livery.

I'm sure if you watch the Cross City line for an hour you will see a couple of 323s with orange ends. There are at least 3 class 170s done as well

323's work the Wolverhampton - Birmingham - Walsall stoppers too most of the time, and I've had a WMR liveried one turn up more times than not recently. The service is completely 323 operated on Saturdays and Sundays too in my experience.

You could always park yourself somewhere at New Street, I've found that the north/west side of the station is pretty good, usually at the end of Platform 4C, as you can see workings coming in from Soho as well as Five Ways.
