I'd have had that as the main bus and the Dart spare, far better vehicle than any naff Dart

It's not DDA compliant as the law stipulated from 1/1/15... Plus it's 17 years old, not in their livery plus the fleetname of another operator which has collapsed...

Is the comment by LM172 consistent with service delivery quality seen by other people, eg late running/vehicles stopping to refuel etc?!

I'm not sure what you're going on about this time but Coniston are a popular well-known and reputable coach operator. They have more sense than to get into the habit of untertaking public service work. This vehicle could double up as a coach if needed too, I can't see the point of having more than one horrid Dart! Let alone a whole fleet of them, imagine how awful that would be!

Well, I'll simplify for you. First, "they have more sense than to get into the habit of un(d)ertaking public service work." They ARE doing public service work.

Second, as you know, after 1/1/15, DDA deadlines came into force that prohibit use of step entrance vehicles of this size on local registered bus service work. I'm wondering why appear to be using a vehicle that doesn't comply.

Thirdly, LM 172 made reference to late running due to a fuel stop. I then asked whether such things were happening regularly or if this was a one off.

Hope that clears up any confusion!

It's only under 7.5t steppys that had to go by 1.1.15

Single decks over 7.5t is 31.12.15 Iirc

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

And double decks 2017, yes I know.

But varios seem to mostly fall below 7.5 tonnes.

You're right that b10b's etc have until next year and Olympians until the year after.

Can not understand quite what is going on here , Coniston  have got one of the best turned out coach fleets in the Kidderminster area , and before
they took on running the 15 they only had one bus route  which  is only  two runs a day . and  one of there existing small coaches  is more than
suitable for the  few passangers it carrys a day  and the  and the coaches are suitable for there school contracts. they only been running 15
for a couple of weeks

New and Thandi, not two words you hear in the same sentence very often!

It was only a guess that it was originally S194HOK which was wrong. I had next to nothing to go on at the time and the other Plaxton Beaver 2 that County Coaches of Brentwood had was 9803RU (S195HOK) which Coniston Coaches had faved photos of on there flickr page. It was not 9803 because it had county coaches in red letters on the destination blind. So I went on Google Earth to find some old street view pictures of County Coaches old depot before it had closed last year. I could both PLAXTON beaver 2's one with red lettering and one with white lettering on the destination blind. At the time every thing was leading towards S194 HOK. I am sorry for getting it wrong but I did do my research.
