I've been told there are no service changes due to the 142 after the end of service on Saturday 2nd September, or any time in the near future.

What I believe happened, but am open to correction on any minor points is at the latest round of Tenders the all day service was put out to tender. NX won a 5 year award initially, but that was then withdrawn by TfWM when a number of the journies were registered commercially by another operator. I haven't heard what is happening yet to any journies not commercially registered, but if TfWM want them to run they will have to put them out on an emergency tender initially to fill the gap.

Seemingly the same happened on the 74 in Walsall, withdrawing, then deciding to register certain journeys commercially. In other words, messing around!

Am so confused now, if NE won the tender for 5 years and Central Buses haven't reregistered any journies commercially, then NE should be operating the 142 from 04 September 2017.

Not without route training we won't, we were aware that it was supposed to be coming to us at Pensnett and we also heard that we weren't having it. There is no chance whatsoever that we will be operating the service from 4th September.
