They must be about the only company still buying buses with scania's own polish bodywork-there were only 3 last year!! Wonder if ppl have stopped buying it due to the quality issue

Slighty off topic but whats the difference between the Omnilink and the Omnicity?

I like the strapline "serving Towns and Villages in Warwickshire".

But I think they are being too modest, seeing as I can think of 4 other counties they serve. But, I guess that "serving Towns and Villages in Warwickshire, Worcestershire, West Midlands, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire" wouldn't fit!  ;)

The Omnilink has a longitudinal mounted engine. The Omnicity has a transverse mounted engine. Therefore they have slightly different interior layouts at the rear. Other than that, I don't believe there is any other difference but I'll leave it open for anybody else to add their own info.

Will the 2 scania's settle down on one or two
services or just go on any service as it's roaming
at present

Valandil

I agree that Johnson's is a fantastic company.
First rate drivers, vehicles, livery, punctuality ... pretty much everything.

New Scania Bus HKZ is back on depot with new near side panelling - Looks the part again

John

What routes are the 2 Scanias sticking to nowadays? Would like to find them soon  :D

Solo1

i think they run on all service's as i saw one a while back X50

Solo1

How come the X50 is now run by Solo's at 5pm as its normally the branded ones they they use

jc

They just tend to show up anywhere John!, As for the Solo on the X50, there are booked duties on the X50 now that coincide with other duties! 07:45 of Birmingham is a Solo which then does the 182/183 and is replaced in Redditch by a branded Tempo from the C1.

The new Scanias are turning up everywhere, saw one had made it out to Banbury on the 270.

And watch out for changes to the X50, or 150 as it will soon be (no not the same 150 as the old Midland Red/Stratford Blue route!):

Nice to see the service returning to cover parts of Redditch New Town.  I'm guessing this is there way of saying that the 178 should have never been cancelled... even if it isn't following the exact same route.

I think they are trying to increase passenger numbers as they have been falling for some time now
