Seems a bit of a shame really they've put a hybrid on the 82, they're meant for more stop-start routes arent they?
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Yeah I was on the 82 today along the A45 at speed sounded like an aircraft taking off seemed to be really straining sounded like it was hitting the limiter not sure if it can reach 60mph like the citaro's do.

oooo the noise on the citaros are epic....but need to do a last journey when the drivers go faster to get the full effect.

This was a hybrid versa though but agree been on the citaro's when they have been thrashed all the way to Solihull definitely a good bus ride and the signature citaro's are fantastic.

Hybred Versa 30312 (YJ12 GUC) seen in Coventry on 82 today.

Got a ride on this bus on the 82 sounded like an aircraft on the A45 towards Meriden not sure what the limiter is on the hybrids I know the citaro's can reach 60mph.

No can overtake them on the motorway at 56mph in a fully laden artic.  Hope that helps.

The citaro's can reach 60mph but over taking a lorry at 56mph will take some time and there not on the A45 for that long.

Is a solo on the 4 that unusal they seem to throw any rubbish at it.  Supposed to be one of the good payers like the 301 and 56 and even they get them on at times and silly mini pointers (at least they have the better engines) one for Bob.

They seem to have been kept off the 4 lately but probably because they have fewer solo's since the ex Preston ones left the fleet although the midi pointers often appear on the service.
